Tried this place for the very first time and really glad I did. I think the owner wants to serve customers that cater to a tight budget, much respect for them. 15$ meal.
The sushi is pretty good, lots of rice. The chicken strip katsu taste like it's mostly batter and not much meat but i'm not complaining.

This place has insane portions. I remember eating the pork katsu here when it used to be served on a plate and they would give a big cutlet, it was cheap and was a big portion. It’s been several years since I last visited and I believe the owners have changed since then. To my surprise, the portion has more than doubled from what I remember… It took me 3 days to finish all the pork katsu! And for only $11? That’s a huge steal!! Still lives up to the expectations.

Ive lived in Markham, visiting first markham place for decades, and only tried this place now. Wish I had tried it earlier! For $11 the chicken katsu meal with miso soup is amazing, HUGE portion size! Miso soup not too salty like some others. Will have leftovers to take to work for lunch ;) Will be a repeat customer from here on out.

Another legend of the First Markham Place food court! The Katsu here is top notch and such value and great portion for the price! The sauce and crispness of the Katsu are excellent. Highly recommended to anyone wanting great value for lunch or dinner!

The pork/chicken katsu meal with a drink or soup for $11 is the best value you can get nowadays. I order the pork Katsu and it comes with 3 whole cutlets. The box can barely close. It's actually enough meat for 2 ppl unless you're really big and hungry. The cashier lady is super nice too.

Delicious sushi, great price, no spicy mayo. The miso soup lacked flavour. Cash only. If in the area I do recommend. We got three rolls and 2 soups for under $20.

I absolutely love this place!! Everytime I'm at this food court it's my go-to. It's affordable, made fresh and delicious! Not to mention HUGE portions and they once gave me two extra pieces of sushi for free! Couldn't recommend enough!

With a food court that has such a high turnover rate, this place has always been consistent and reliable. I remember being so excited as a kid to come to FMP to get bubble tea and some rolls. Glad to see they're still going strong.
