We have tried soybean pudding (tofu fa) at many places across the Greater Toronto Area because we love tofu fa and have always been searching for one that tastes like the traditional version we had in Hong Kong. For us, Yan’s Soy Foods is the only place in the GTA that comes very close to that authentic Hong Kong style. Their tofu fa has the ideal balance, silky, soft, gently jiggly, yet firm enough to hold its shape. At other places, we often find tofu fa that either becomes watery and breaks apart by the time we get home, or has a texture that is much too firm. Some places offered tofu fa with a decent texture, but it was either less silky or lacked the strong traditional soybean flavor found at Yan’s Soy Foods. I know everyone has good things to say about this place, but I think it’s quite bad, even after considering its price point. Soy milk ($1.90) had no soy taste at all. Sure, tofu ($3.50 for soy bean pudding) was creamy, but that’s it; it had no soy taste and the ginger liquid wasn’t good either. Usually I get tofu at Thanh Son Tofu and it’s so much better than this. I wouldn’t come back here!

I bought a jar of soy milk for $4.50. It was disappointing: no soybean flavour, just sugary water. Not worth the price. I'd rather buy it at a supermarket.

The best soy milk I’ve ever had! Their sweetened soy milk is better than any I’ve ever gotten at an asian supermarket. Grab it in a cup for on-the-go enjoyment, or grab a 2L like me for $4.50 to enjoy several cups at home.

Such a great spot for tofu fa and all things tofu and sweet.
The tofu was super silky and soft. Just melts in your mouth. The syrups that i got were ginger, a go to flavour for me and the other one is just the OG one.
They also have soy milk in different flavours as well and family sizes as well. If you like chocolate, they have chocolate versions as well.
Service was alright as long as you speak some Cantonese. I did a mix of both canto and English, but they will understand English as well.
Parking on this side of the plaza can get crazy since the plaza mall also has a supermarket and a food court.

Very good soy base products. The Soy Milk Jelly is so smooth and I also like the Coconut Soy Drink! I came here twice to enjoy the sweet treats on my recent trip to Toronto, and for sure I will be coming back again on my next visit!

Very rude cashier, I asked for 2 spoons to eat at food court. The cashier told me they don't provide spoons for large bowl tofu pudding, only for small ones. I don't understand the reason behind this? Can't we share the large ones with group of family?
The tofu pudding was delicious but the service is definitely not good.

Tasteless!!! Used to be good and my only go to place for soy items in the past 20 years even they are pricier it worths, but the past year is only full of disappointment.
Their soy milk and tofu pudding is now almost tasteless Yes they are still smooth, but clearly doesn't have much soy taste anymore Wake up ppl, stop going and have them improve instead of lacking on the soy but putting cornstarch only to make it smooth
