Tried the shawarma plate with salad and it was amazing. Loved the rice they use and the mix of chicken with salad and sauces is spot on. They provide garlic potatoes as well which is something different from other places and I love those. If you like a bit of bland food then this might not be the best place for you but definitely a hidden gem and must try for everyone else.

Tried the chicken Saj wrap and chicken shawarma meal, the portions were so bad. Barely anything in my wrap and the shawarma meal was half full. Better to spend your money elsewhere.
Zayzoun may be modest in appearance and ambiance, but the food is restaurant-quality behind a local strip mall facade. The small menu focuses on chicken shawarma, saj and falafel, with excellent sauces, pickles and salads on the side, so everything is freshly made with care. And finesse: this is not your average local kebab bar. The excellent falafel nicely contrasts crunchy outside and tender inside, while the grilled meat is perfectly spiced even without the tangy sauces and trimmings. (That said, don't miss the carmelized onions and garlic potatoes.) Portions are generous to huge (i.e. the saj). At time of writing, the restaurant is closed on weekends in the interests of the owners' work/life balance, so go during the week and take a leaf from that book, too.Vegetarian options: Basically, falafel and sides (hummus, garlic potatoes, salad) but delicious.Parking: Depends on timing, but there are several spaces right around the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: The dining area is a small, plain space adjacent to the grill, but nothing fancy, so little ones can move around and make a mess (within reason) without disturbing any fine diners.

Have heard of a lot of places that sell 'authentic' shawarma. Don't believe them. Come and try the shawarma and falafel here. You will not go anywhere else afterwards. Try with the saj bread, 'nuff said.
