Ding Ho Restaurant Reviews
I love stopping in at Ding Ho's when I am travelling up or back from Timmins. This place is certainly a little dated, but when I go in and get the popcorn chicken, it always comes out extra hot like they are super heating the deep fryer, they are tender and juicy. Best popcorn chicken! I really don't know much of the other menu items, I worked in Matheson for a bit and got that at lunch one day and they have hooked me for the last 6 years.
I make the drive from Porcupine once in a while for a treat-> because the Won Ton Soup with extra noodles is the very best tasting and portion size-> of ALL of the Restaurants here.
My other favourites- Almond Chicken and Beef w Greens are sadly off the Menu now, priced way out of my Budget at double what it was a few years ago... oh well, nothing I can do but to keep on looking for Affordable Treats like The Lounge at the Dante Club in Timmins, for their Friday night suppers!!

Ding Ho Restaurant in Matheson is known for its delightful Chinese cuisine, with every dish masterfully prepared and generously portioned. The food is delicious and offers a unique experience, with highlights such as the wonton soup and sesame chicken combo, although some may find the prices a bit steep. The quality of the food makes it worth the cost. Guests have mentioned the cheerful and caring staff, who even offered free hot tea for the drive home on a cold day. However, the restaurant's atmosphere is described as small, basic, and lacking updates, with decor that has not changed since its opening decades ago. Overall, it provides a memorable dining experience with a mix of traditional and Westernized flavors.
