Family and I wanted to order takeout, we tried to call multiple times but no one answered the phone so we walked in. There was no one else in the building and Khloe(?) was sitting on her phone... She wasn’t welcoming and struggled to take our order (we had to repeat the order 4 times). We actually enjoyed the food but wouldn’t want to eat in because it was just an unpleasant experience.
Best burgers in Meaford and Thornbury. Great quality beef and fresh ingredients. Quick, friendly service. Looking forward to going back.

Use to come here all the time for wings and/or the chicken rib platter. Always had excellent service from the same waitress (eventually she was pregnant and went off) and owner (Nate I believe). Took a coworker here a few months back who had never been, and although food was still delish, the staff was not. Staff looked very unkempt and the one female kept staring at us while being overly flirtations with what I expect are "the regulars". We were so uncomfortable we brought our food back to work. We are 2 women who are very chill, so for us to be bothered says a lot. I get that regulars keep you in business, but you should still remain mindful of your other patrons and the projected image you are giving off.

What a fantastic eatery!!The food was prepared to perfection. The wait staff was incredible, so welcoming and attentive to all patrons. So, if you're unsure where to have a bite to eat in Meaford, stop by The Red Door and eat some great food, delivered by great staff and enjoy the great atmosphere. Bon Appetit!!!

My husband who is a cook of 15 years said the Bacon Mushroom BBQ burger was the best burger he has ever had! Also loved the seasoned fries. The cook talked to us through the kitchen window - excellent service and experience. Will be back!

Burgers are unique, homemade, absolutely flavourful & delicious. Enjoyed the staff, and the basic comfortable decor. Felt at ease chatting with other customers as each of us had come from other places, enjoying the scenery on this early fall day. Looking forward to returning to try the next tasty meal. Cheers!
October 3rd, 2023….Eighteen hungry women asked if they could look after us, and in no time the tables were pushed together and drinks ordered. We were able to accomplish an important business meeting while our individual food choices were prepared, and the food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable and we highly recommend the red door. Thank you for your friendly service.

Most of the food was great, with the exception of their Caesar salad that night. The meat fell off the ribs, the fries were crisp, but the salad was wilty and portioned much smaller than the rest of the meal.This place seems to be really popular and they could have used an extra person waiting on the tables.Cell reception on Roger's Network is terrible in and around the building. Good, if you don't want to be disturbed during your meal. It's not so good if you are trying to call the wife to change her takeout order.

Do not waste your time. Went on a sunday evening. Seems only locals get some what decent service? Pretty much were ignored the whole time we were there. Wings were on special and pretty good, would have ordered more if the waitress had come around at all. Ended up leaving and getting a pizza…… also on the way out went to the bathroom and to get there you walk by the kitchen. Disgusting is all I can say. Please avoid.

Do not stop here if you have kids- a kids "Mac and cheese" was $12 (plus tax and tip) and did not include a side or drink, and the portion was literally a handful of pasta, insultingly small. If it came with bacon or lobster I'd understand but it is literally plain pasta with butter and flour. I cannot come back here (I live in the area) with my kids because of the price gouging.I had 2 kids order so the total for 2 tiny, tiny kids bowls of plain pasta with no drink or dessert or side included was $30 including tax and tip.... see the photos if you don't believe me.Would consider returning if kids meals were not insulting and I knew for $12 a kid they could leave not upset and still hungry.My burger was $16 for a huge slab of meat with fries as a side. This means the kids meal is over priced with no real justification based on the other prices on the menu.The server and the cook (a woman and man) were both excellent and very friendly and helpful. This review in no way is directed at them, but at the management of this restaurant.

Terrible experience. Don't waste your time and money. Shrimp were over cooked and tasteless of a rubbery consistency. The steak was as thin as the sole of my shoe and tasted about the same. One salad did magically not even appear. And to make matters worse they ran out of white wine after 3 , glasses of 5 oz. This is the worst restaurant in all of Grey and Bruce county we have experienced. Oh and by the way the pictures of the food online are both misleading and unavailable is some instances. Bottom line stay away.
