The Leeky Canoe is a small and cozy restaurant located in downtown Meaford, right on the Main Street. It has a pub-like atmosphere with a bar, booths, and TVs to watch sports. The service is friendly and attentive, and they offer non-alcoholic beers from Harmon's and Toronto.
The menu includes a variety of options such as Mama's meatloaf, chicken Parmesan, Honey sesame chicken, and falafel bowl salad. The meatloaf and Honey sesame chicken are well-cooked and flavorful, while the chicken Parmesan was good but the spaghetti could have been better. The falafel bowl salad is fresh and abundant in veggies. However, the beef dip was heavily seasoned with rosemary, which may not be enjoyable for everyone.
The restaurant offers a good amount of side dishes, but there was a mix-up with the Honey sesame chicken platter, which was supposed to come with veggies, rice, and potato, but only had veggies and rice. The iced tea was bitter and not up to par.
Despite the minor issues, the food portions are good, and the service is excellent. It's a great spot to eat before a show or for a casual meal. Parking is available on the street right out front.
