Iron Forge Pizza

We went to Merrickville for the weekend, we ate here twice. The pizza was fantastic and the lasagna was delicious. The only problem: the menu clearly said the beer was $6.50 but when I ordered the canned beer, they charges $7.00 - I thin they should have said it was more; but even with that, this deserves a 5-star rating.

I ate here the day before New Years for a late lunch and there was plenty of seating available. I ordered their BBQ chicken pizza and it was delicious. The table we sat at didn’t look to be wiped clean (some crumbs from a previous customer) and the restaurant did have an odd odour.

Sausage had to be picked off the pizza as it tasted off, and looked like it might have been freezer burnt. Price was very high for what we got. Washrooms were dirty and had a bad smell. Service was poor.
Disappointed, would not recommend.

I had a fantastic experience at Iron Forge! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal.

What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Tariq, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He patiently walked me through the menu, recommended a few options based on my preferences, and even helped customize my order to make it exactly how I wanted. His friendly attitude and genuine effort to make my visit enjoyable didn’t go unnoticed.

No complaints with food. My only complaint is anytime we have made an order for delivery it has taken over an hour for our order to arrive when we live just outside of town.

I think they are under new management and since then the delivery and service has been poor. When we first ordered my husband was told 40mins to and hour. I called after waiting almost an hour and a half to get an updated ETA for our delivery and the gentlemen on the phone wouldnt let me get a word in. He gave me a speech about how they have one driver and their busy (which i understand) he didnt inform me if our order was out eith the driver or sitting with all the other pizzas under the warmer. He said to call back in a half hour. My husband called back and the same man (who ends up being the owners son) said there must be some mix up because our delivery was delivered an hour ago, but I had called a half hour ago to ask about an ETA. The owners son then proceeded to say that he never told my husband it would be 40minutes and he would call the driver and give us a call back after my husband asked what they would do to compensate us since we ordered dinner at 4:30 and it's been over 2 hours!!!

The delivery driver finally showed up over 2 hours later and said she got lost and ended up in smiths falls. We didn't accept the pizza nor did we pay as we will not support such awful customer service.

No surprise. NO CALL BACK. Lowsy, poor service.

Lesson learned. Don't stray from good ol faithful. We are REGULAR customers to Milanos. Good food and GREAT service!

We ordered pizza, told us 30-45 mins and it took over 2 hours to get the pizza.

Hands down one of the most impressive pizzas I've had in the Ottawa area. Thin super crispy crust with a slight char. Well done!!!

Stopped in for beer and pizza tonight before seeing the Christmas Train come through. Enjoyed a new flavour - tropical pizza. Was delicious. Could have more available beer choices but otherwise Tarik was a very nice waiter. He said he wasn’t concerned so much of getting a tip but that he provided a good service, and customers are happy. And I believed he meant it. We would go again.
Ps washrooms were clean, which to me is a big indicator of the care of management.
