We were hungry when we stopped by but we couldn’t finish the fish & chips as the overly crispy fish was dripping with oil. The chips were good though.
I guess we still prefer our fish & chips at Manoll’s in Brockville.

Way too many bees and flies flying around our food and drink. :(

Tasteless and overcooked fish. Chips were horrible and they should change the oil now and then. Worst fish and chips I've had and I'm 78 years old. Don't waste your time and money. Oh ya, the staff were rude also..

The loaded fries were incredible, fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and stay hot. The house sauce is delicious, we almost went back to get an extra side of the sauce. There is a gravel area in front with picnic tables and patio furniture. They are licensed so my husband had a beer and I had a frozen daiquiri! And had to get my daughter a virgin daiquiri too ;)
For a chip truck, the food and atmosphere is so far beyond what you would expect.

Well that was unexpected.

I went into this one with high expectations (maybe that hurt the rating more?). We were told the poutines are insanely good.. not sure if I got a one-off bad one, or if people collectively like dry AF poutines.

We got the chipotle smash burger special and a pulled pork poutine. The smash burger was fine but totally lacking on any chipotle flavour. It was pretty dry and could've used double the chipotle. The pulled pork poutine was good but seriously lacking in gravy. The pulled pork itself was really good and there was a good amount of cheese but underneath was a half pound of dry fries. Seemingly barely a tablespoon of gravy was rained upon these badboys. Basically a chopped up baked potato with cheese and pulled pork ontop. As I write this, that sounds good tbh - but I wanted a poutine.

Overall, in desperate need of sausery on all fronts.

Side note.. they serve a few Perth Brewery beers.. those were the highlight of the meal.

Very conflicted since I they have really good reviews.. maybe would try again.

Hands down, the best food in Merrickville. Their handhelds, cheeseburgers, and poutines are absolutely delicious. The owner really knows how to get inventive with classics.

Best fish & chip spot I’ve found outside the east coast (if you follow me, you’ll see that I love them haha). It’s worth the drive from Ottawa for sure. Great food, great staff, nice outdoor patio area with tables and also some comfy couches. The 2 piece fish and chips can easily feed two people, and they have a decent selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Bonus is that it’s on the main drag of Merrickville, so you can walk off SOME of the calories while visiting the cutest little shops.

The Mac & cheese poutine is the perfect pairing of two amazing comfort foods! Well three, because the drizzle of balsamic takes it to the next level! Well done!

The poutine here is decent and I try to get one when I can. However the packaging makes it a pain and does not make for a fun ride home. Would be ideal if you got a styerfoam box with your poutine instead of a soggy gravy bag.

My wife and I do not frequent these places and today’s experience is exactly why. We ordered 2 pogos (1 each) a small fry and onion rings to split. Worst meal ever. The oil that is being used is way overdue to be changed. The food tasted of old oil everything was a very dark brown in colour. The pogos were overcooked as the fries were. The onions rings were just burnt. Don’t eat here.
