I ate here during the holidays and had a good experience. I ordered the Naked Fish and Chips and it was good - I enjoyed their coleslaw and the fish was cooked simply but well. I was with a group of 8 and all of us were served at the same time, except for 1 person that had to wait another 5-10 mins for their meal. Was a bit awkward as everyone was well into their meal when the last one arrived. We were seated next to a wooden fireplace which was cozy and the restaurant was definitely busy! The waiters were all pleasant.

I come from ottawa to merrickville for my beard products! (Shout out wick witch apothecary!) The goose and gridiron has amazing food ! It's fresh and always full of flavour. The staff are amazing ! Shootout to my server today Colt ! Kid has a bright future ! If you are in merrickville, you gotta stop at The Goose & Gridiron !

It’s one of the most well-known restaurants in Merrickville with a rich history behind the name, but I hope they improve. I had the least fresh fish and chips I’ve ever tasted. Not only was the flavor disappointing, but I also had stomach issues two hours later… quite the experience.

The food is usually good here.... Don't order the cranberry chicken brie sandwich. The chicken was dry and overcooked, could barely chew it and the toasted cranberry bread was unevenly sliced and crumbled when you tried to bite into it. I ended up taking most of it home and deconstructed it for lunch the next day.... Too expensive to throw out.

We went there on Labor Day the place was packed but still the servers managed to take care of everyone. The food was delicious and the vibes were nice. Totally recommend and shoutout to their staff for keeping up on a busy day!

My recent visit to The Goose and Gridiron in Merrickville, Ontario, was a delightful experience. We started with the kettle chips, which were served warm and crispy, perfectly dusted with a flavorful blend of spices that made them a great appetizer.

My girlfriend ordered the seafood fettuccine, which was rich and creamy, with a generous amount of seafood that paired beautifully with the perfectly cooked pasta. It was served with garlic bread that was both crispy and soft—an excellent complement to the dish.

I opted for the fish and chips, and it did not disappoint. The portion was incredibly generous, allowing the fish to be both crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The white cod was warm and meaty, with a taste that was just as impressive as the presentation.

The service was top-notch, and our server had a great personality, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, The Goose and Gridiron offers a wonderful dining experience with well-prepared, flavorful dishes and excellent service. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Merrickville.

Just finished a late lunch on the patio - and we will definitely never be returning. We didn’t get plates with our appetizer (fried pickles) and had to use napkins as side plates. We had to ask for water to be refilled. One part of our order wasn’t done (we requested no onions on nachos), and due to an allergy it had to be remade, so it was late coming out and the rest of our family had eaten. We were still charged for it. We were also charged for extra salsa, sour cream, and mayonnaise for the fish sandwich.

Its always a great night when we dine at The goose. The food is always delicious. Nick was the best and he was not kidding when he said the Caramel Carrot cheesecake was to die for!!! ? We can't wait to come back!!!

My husband and I went for lunch on a Tuesday while we were browsing in Merrickville. I wasn't crazy hungry so I opted for the 2 topping small pizza and my husband had the chicken club with fries. While the food was good the fries looked and tasted like the fryer could use an oil change and the pizza sauce could use some more seasoning for my taste. All in all the service was great and friendly and it was lovely place to eat.
