My mother, aunt and I stopped in to have some tea and a snack after some shopping. As the sign indicated, we waited by the host stand to be served. Several employees walked by with things asking us to move from the way but no one welcomed us or let us know what was going on. After several minutes of looking to see who was in charge of seating, we walked out of the restaurant, which did not look particularly busy. Fairly disappointing.

This is a go-to place for my wife and I when we visit Merrickville. Great food, good GF options, and the delicious scones are always a highlight.

We have been here many times for soup, sandwich, and dessert. My family has never been disappointed! It's all about the bread, so I also recommend the toast and browned butter!

Warm and cozy surroundings. Friendly, helpful staff. Consistently delicious food and drink. All and all the Yellow Canoe is my favourite lunch destination in Merrickville!

Loved the cosy feel to the place. Service was super and the food was scrumptious! I loved their 3 cheese and green onion scones along with the caramelized butter. Yum yum!

Lovely spot— really delicious food, and thoughtful details like brown butter for the scone, a little wedge of lemon in a glass of water— I felt well taken care of in addition to enjoying the food

It has been a while since we have been here. We have always enjoyed the venue and that is still the case. We had a lovely server Sara who was knowledgeable, friendly and just chatty enough. I loved my salad and my spouse enjoyed his sandwich. We will be back.

A very inviting spot for a tasty meal. My friend and I stopped in for lunch around 12:30 but there was a long wait due to their obvious popularity, always a good sign! We returned a bit later in the afternoon and managed to sneak in a lunch (they close at 3pm on a weekday). We had the goat cheese salad, it was delectable as was the focaccia that accompanied it, the softest most delightful tasty bread with a sweet and salty house made butter, yum!
