This place has old-school cottage style diner vibes, but also feels fresh and clean. Most of us had fish and chips, some of us had burgers. We were all satisfied! Very friendly staff. And the patio is nice too.

I’d give it a 2.5 if I could. But the mood I feel when I leave makes me give it at 2 not 3. I’ve been here several times and I know it’s always slow so that’s par for the course (they’ve even got it permanently on their menu that they’re slow lol). The food is usually good though so it’s often worth the wait. I just don’t like their menu for the kids food. It seems silly to separate all the kids stuff. For example they offer the chicken fingers at $6.50 (tiniest little amount given) and then the fries $1.50. The dip they give for the fingers and fries is tiny and you have to pay for more dip.
My daughter was going back and forth on the menu between kids bacon and sausage and when it came time to order she landed on bacon. I pointed to the sausage on the same kids menu and said to the waitress “she’d also like to add sausage” and the waitress brought out an adult sausage and charged me more for it. When I questioned it on the bill she said “well ya- it has three, not the kids 2”. Again, if that’s your policy then fine…. But maybe some clarity in the menu would help. If I had know the adult side came with three and not two sausages, I would have known prior to the bill to say something like “that’s not what we ordered”.
I just find I used to be able to enjoy a meal here for a reasonable price but now I’m being bombarded by all the extra fees … extra sauce fee 1.00, debit fee 1.30, upped my side order of meat without asking. Etc etc. the little things add up.
I think they charged for syrup once… because it wasn’t table syrup, which is free. It was maple syrup (unbeknownst to me) lol. Their prices are so variable it says right on their menu “prices subject to change” lol. Just not the same vibe as it was a few years ago. It’s definitely something that’s made me go there far less than I used to. Other than this recent visit, it’s been over a year since my last visit… maybe another year can go by so I forget that it feels like they’re nickel and dimming me.

Midhurst, being the small little town that it is in the heart of Central Ontario, has only pretty much this eatery, luckily it's really good! 🍳💯
Country air, country vibes and a country dining experience is exactly what anyone needs. A fair cost comes with juicy sausages, healthy eggs, of course really good parking and warm and friendly smiles just as warm as the food. 💙❤️
The team put together the hearty breakfast and made sure my experience was timely and enjoyable. Some real country folks. 🤠👢Thank you for making my experience here astonishing. ❤️💙🍳
If anybody has any questions, please feel free to reach out. I don't just drive the country road, I drive my Google maps account.
❤️👢🤠🍳❤️

Love this little spot.
It reminded me of an old time restaurant in cottage restaurant with the cedar strip walls and homey atmosphere.
The waitresses were all mature ladies who were very friendly and congenial.
The menu had lots of breakfast and lunch options.
The coffee was hot, fresh and good.
My eggs, home fries and bacon was just as I wanted it, and I liked the rye toast option.
Great meal, great service and reasonable price point.

Delicious breakfast spot! It was very busy when we arrived on a Friday morning, but the staff were very friendly, and checked in on us while we waited with estimated updates. When we did get a table, the service was fast and friendly. And the food was so fresh and yummy! Two thumbs up from the kids on the waffle with whipped cream, and trio with French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. Linda's Feature Breakfast hit the spot, with perfectly cooked eggs and delicious homefries. Great cup of coffee as well. The next time we're in the area we will be stopping in for sure!
