“3 generations of our family have been going there. Never once have we been disappointed. The cheese buns and onion buns are a must. definitely a 5 star. would give 10 if I could, probably much higher. There is nothing there that will disappoint especially the baked goods. I can never go there without picking up the pizza bun to take to my son. He loves them as much now as when he was a child.”

“We just moved into the area and ventured out on a walk with our kiddos to try some of the local shops and found Jake’s Bakes. Wow!! We loved everything about our first visit. Jake is so lovely and kind, and really hit it off with our kiddos. The lemonades were so refreshing and yummy. And the BAKED GOODS — don’t even get me started because they’re delicious — every single one that we tried! We have decided that we’re going to frequent Jake’s Bakes for a coffee and a baked good as a weekend treat whenever we can!”

“1-Follow up on reservations for my party by the restaurant hours ahead-and seating location was as requested.Notified we had two for service that day -Catt /Makayla .2-Informed both-we were catching up our once a month chit/chat and they informed us of the menus - etc —choices were made on our part with both of them checking on our various selections and keeping things flowing all the time.-questions of changing salad dressings with our selections-just one of the changes after that a few more but never gave the suggestion to us that it was any problem.-Several times we were asked how are things going-was there any thing we did not have or do we wish to change anything that was just not what we thought we were Ordering from the menus. We said no and they said enjoy your time .We did and again we left knowing that is a place in Barrie you might wanted to add to seek and find list of where to eat in Barrie,Ontario soon.”

Yar and Noor are the experts in the art of Indian food cooking with many years of experience and they are so friendly to all the customers. The service is great and we love the many variety of dishes. No other restaurants can compare to the unique taste of Tara cuisine. Young and old would love this place that has an upgraded decor. “This is a must try in Barrie. A breakfast/lunch diner that has you feeling like a member of the family as soon as you walk through the doors.
It’s like a blast from the past in the best way imaginable. As soon as you enter you see decor, photos, and very clear history of this mom-and-pop shop making you feel right at home.
The food is delicious and the Fil’s Hot Sauce? It’s sweet with a good heat to it.

“I went to Made in Mexico to celebrate the birthday of my great-niece. I had the birria tacos and really enjoyed them. The food is great, of course (I actually ordered another helping of birria tacos to bring home for a friend and shrimp tacos for tomorrow's lunch - if they last that long). However, what put this place over the top for me was the staff. Ozz in particular was outstanding. He let me practise my rusty Spanish with him and when it was time to sing to the birthday girl, he sang louder and more joyfully than everyone. He danced with her and she was all smiles. What a great atmosphere - sorry about the noise; we can be a loud family.”
