Delicious iced banana bread lattes & yummy matcha cookies. The young girl working this past Sun, May 17 was super sweet & knowledgeable!

Nice little patio outside & cute vintage antiques throughout the interior as well.

Nice place. Could be friendlier. The decor/vibe is definitely cool but it’s hard to feel welcome here, and the coffee is decent.

Discovered this little gem in Port Credit to meet a friend for a coffee. Nicely decorated and great ambience to talk!

Cozy and quiet cafe along Lakeshore. Love the interior, the cup displays and the pastries. Sorry to disappoint, not a fan of their caramel latte. Tastes like my coffee when I do it at home. Maybe i should have tried the hot one instead of the cold one.

Great Experience at Archtop. They saw me through the side window with my bike and a gentleman came outside to ask if I wanted anything. Food was delicious. Service was superb.

We visited Archtop Coffee Bar for coffee and croissants. The coffee was great 9/10β€”but unfortunately the croissants tasted a bit old, so we’d rate those a 6/10.

We also had the chance to get some work done while enjoying our coffee, which was nice. The only downside is that there’s no Wi-Fi available.

There’s plenty of paid parking, and the place itself was clean and well kept 9/10 overall.

Cool and intentional vibe but they get overwhelmed when it’s busy and wait times can be 15min+. Also saw pre-pulled espresso just lined up atop the coffee machine. $6+ for left-out espresso shots seems a little strange for a coffee shop. Great potential with a few adjustments I’m sure. Nice folks though.

I would not recommend visiting Arch Top Cafe if you’re looking for good food, quality coffee, and friendly service. The previous location was fantastic, which makes the recent decline even more disappointing.

On my latest visit, I ordered a matcha and had just sat down with my laptop when the server immediately told me that if the cafΓ© got busier, I would be asked to leave because I had a laptop. This was said despite there being plenty of open tables. There was no signage indicating a no-laptop policy, and no effort was made to accommodate me (for example, suggesting I sit at the bar instead of a table).

During the 45 minutes I stayed, I felt uncomfortable the entire time due to the staff’s attitude and the visible disapproval for simply having my laptop out. It ultimately made me leave early. If there are policies in place, they should be clearly communicated and enforced respectfullyβ€”not in a way that makes customers feel unwelcome.

Additionally, the pricing does not match the experience. Charging around $8 for a matcha is hard to justify when the environment is uninviting and customers feel like they can’t even sit and work comfortably.

A large portion of the space is being used to sell items like old DVDs, books, and miscellaneous goods, when they could instead add more tables and seatingβ€”especially since they serve first and foremost as a coffee shop. It feels like a missed opportunity to better accommodate their customers.

It also feels odd that dogs are welcomed, but laptops are notβ€”especially in 2026, when many people rely on cafΓ©s as flexible workspaces.

Overall, this no longer feels like the warm, community-focused space it once was. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

My 5 star goes to the staff (Lilly) not the owner of this establishment. Food and service goes to the staff. Atmosphere of the owner 0 I visited Archtop cafe for coffee this morning and was greeted by Lilly, who was kind, attentive, and welcoming from the start. While taking my order (and others), another customer approached with some confusion about their order. Lilly listened carefully and professionally, as any good staff member would.

Unfortunately, during this interaction, the owner spoke to Lilly in a way that I felt was very unnecessary, rude and disrespectful, especially in front of customers. It was uncomfortable to witness and not reflective of the level of professionalism you’d hope for in a business.

Despite that, Lilly handled the situation with grace and composure. She stayed focused, ensured my order was ready on time, and everything tasted great.

Thank you, Lilly, for your excellent service you are clearly a valuable part of the team.
