On our way out of Toronto on Monday, we discovered a culinary gem near the airport: Berina's, a Bosnian family restaurant. Eastern European had us thinking about pierogi, but the chevape (kebobs), burek (meat, cheese, spinach, and potato spiral pies), and lepinja (hot stone flat bread) were unbelievably tasty and did not disappoint. We enjoyed everything with sour cream, salad, and some peach juice. At the end, our sweet hosts treated us to their favorite childhood candies...
