High Zone Karaoke Bar and Restaurant

I went with a large group and the server failed to mention that an 18% gratuity would be added when we paid. At most restaurants before you pay, if a gratuity is already added to the bill, they would tell you beforehand, so that you dont have to tip on top of that, however our server did not mention that and just handed us the payment machine with tip options front and center, really dissapointed that they wouldnt at least tell us the gratuity was already added otherwise we would not have tipped on top of what was already charged. Will not be going back here.

Have been here twice and after coming by with a large group I'm not impressed.
Unfortunately they did not inform us at the end of the night that gratuity was included on the total bill, and gave us a machine asking us to tip, so we essentially tipped twice without knowing it, which is upsetting because we paid about $200 in tip alone. Super dishonest, usually restaurants will inform you that gratuity is included and you can tip extra if you want.
They check IDs at the door for everyone even though we are all in our 30s, and unfortunately they didn't actually tell me this at the time of the booking which is a huge oversight
The mic wasn't working and we had to manually reset it ourselves with a pin because the staff couldn't figure it out
The YouTube feature also didn't work properly and song selection on their app is very limited.
Sometimes when we ordered things it didn't come and I had to go remind the staff that we had ordered a certain item
Overall not impressed with my experience

If you looking for a fun and lively karaoke spot, this place is amazing!!!!! All the staff were so accommodating and chill! The range of the songs from some oldies to current is pretty decent.We had the BEST time here. Will surely be returning in the future. Renewed thanks and cheers always 👍

Had a really disappointing experience on Sunday night. This was my second time here with friends, the first time being NYE 2023 which was lots of fun! This time around, our karaoke system took a long time to load and was difficult to navigate with limited song selection (although, this is something I expect of KTV places). Additionally, I clarified in my online booking that we were looking to sing at the Happy Hour pricing ($20/person), but we were charged $30/person without any confirmation. When confronted with the issue, the staff were unhelpful and chose to charge me less to account for the difference and left the rest for us to figure out on our own. There is also a mysterious gratuity fee that was not disclosed prior to payment…

I understand Sunday nights are likely not very busy for karaoke places, so maybe we were just unlucky! The atmosphere was actually really nice and the room was decently sized and comfy for 4 people, the microphones were great as well. The service was just incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.

Karaoke system didn't work for 30-40 minutes of the 2 hours we were there and they charged us for the whole time. In addition, they overcharged us at the register and left us to settle it. Youtube doesn't work so a limited song selection is available. All in all a very disappointing experience and there are much better karaoke places available nearby

I love karaokes and I had an AMAZING time at this one. The service was very friendly.Minimum consumption was absolutely fine! Very very large catalog of songs, the microphones sounded good... I will definitely come back....

Hignzone karaoke setup was impressive! Love this place! A wide range of songs to choose from, from classic hits to the latest chart-toppers. The sound quality was amazing. Everyone got a chance to showcase their fantastic singing skills, and we had a great time cheering each other on! Recommend this place!

We were looking for a place to sing some karaoke, asked about pricing. The person on the phone said it will be 65 an hour for 3 people for Friday night. Asked how that 65 works... i was explained that it is a minimum spend for the room. They said there were no more small rooms available for 45 only medium ones. When we got there the place was empty... only about 4 or 5 rooms actually being used. Even if all the small rooms were being used don't price gouge your customers when you have plenty of space available. Because of the false information and being over charged, we bought more food and drinks than we needed to cover the "minimum spend" that we were explained then over charged for the room as there were no small rooms available but plenty of rooms available.

We had a really great time at this place until it came to pay and because of the terrible customer service and false information we will never bring any business to this establishment. Be careful with how they explain everything to you because we got screwed. Over a 400 dollar bill for 3 people because of the false information they provided with the minimum spend.

Also the food tasted like it was cooked then refried to warm it up. We ordered pop corn shrimp, onion rings and wings... everything came out in seconds soaked in oil. How do fresh wings come out in 3 4 minutes?!?!?

I'm curious if the owner would correct this problem....

I’ve been to this place a few times, but last night, when I booked it for my friend’s birthday, they went the extra mile to make her feel special. I was so happy to share my favorite spot with her. Whether you’re going out for a casual night or a special occasion, I highly recommend this place. Can’t wait for my next visit!

This place is a waste of time and money. Do not come here folks. I wished I drove to the karaoke spots in North York instead of coming here.

Machine was so outdated and finicky. I wasted a lot of time just to figure out the machine. Many songs are broken. The lyrics were terribly wrong. Some songs the music were out of sync with the lyric. The music quality was horrible. The mic quality was clear surprisingly. There was no sound effects on the mic so it was like speaking into a megaphone. The staffs hang out in front of the door. I can see them leaning on the door. No privacy at all.

I came because some reviews said they have youtube available. When I came in they said it's broken. Why didn't they tell me before I go into the room?!? That's just fishy.

Then when I paid. They included 15% tip. Good thing I had such a bad experience I skipped the tip. Otherwise I would have double tip. I only have 2 people. Didn't order any thing yet they still charged tip. What did they serve?

It was $45/h + tax + tip included. Never again!

Bad experience overall!!! I went there with a fair expectation from the previous online reviews but it turns out to be below average. 1 hour for 2 pax were charged for $45 before tax (x2 higher than other places in North York). The room was fairly small but clean. However, the equipment, facility and technology were the worst. The song system was confusing, limited and outdated which it took us so long to pick the songs. I came here expecting to have Youtube app as reviewed but eventually they did not have it available ( they should have explained it from the start to us). The microphone did not have a good quality. Lastly, we were so frustrated with the service and overpriced charge to the point of skipping the tip option. Later on, we realized that they automatically set 15% tip on our payment. So if we decided to tip 15%, we’d end up being charged 30% tip. DISAPPOINTED 😕

computer system is horrible. spent more than 20 min trying to figure it out. many songs on YouTube do not work. charged for a gratuity fee somehow? told us it was 65 dollars and the total ended up being 88 due to said “gratitude” fee? don’t recommend.
