For over 20 years, I have eaten here. The food and service is always excellent.
It was loud.
Calamari was chewy. Bife a casa was decent . Not much flavour tthough. Service was lacking.
I would NOT recommend this place. The food is over salty, no flavor (except salt) if that’s what you like, please go! The food is below standard and way below standard for the price! We had a party of 6, and none of us enjoy our food. The BBQ chicken was ok, the fish, steak were not good!
The coffee was not even hot enough to melt 1/2 a pack of sugar! The dessert was runny like water! The meat was swimming in a pool of sauce like a swimming pool because the sauce was watery! I say stay away and go to another place that’s worth your hard earn money and get better experience.
Oh the service, was bad. If you want your water glass refilled, ask 10x, if your wine runs out and wanted another one ask 2x… someone may come to you…

My son's father is Portuguese and to embrace that side, for my son, it's nice to experience their food which is tasty & classy. Service is on point whether we are dressed up or in sweats, lol! When I need a break from cooking, this is a go to to feel at home and take care of.

Worst experience ever. Food quality was the worse ! No effort was made in preparation of the dish. It was the saddest plate presentation I have ever witnessed. Over priced ! I had the daily special Sea Bass which they charged $44.95 "daily Special" . The plate arrived with just the fish alone on the plate, it was the least appealing plate ever. The fish itself was tasteless. My recommendation is run don't waste your money here

Poor quality of food, over priced, rude service, the dishes we ordered were nothing what it was supposed to be. The fish didn't smell fresh, dessert was over priced and not to mention the price of a wine bottle $60. For these types of prices, the food should have been amazing with friendly service. I'm surprised this restaurant is still open.

Natas do Céu was a bit soft but it got changed to Chocolate Mousse.
Food was amazing but the taste was off by the hospitality of the waiter. Felt like we were bothering him. He gave us zero small talk or having us feel welcomed.
Also using someone else’s wine bucket for our wine was weird.
Please hire a server that will greet and treat everyone with the upmost appreciation.

It was a very pleasant experience having dinner at Leão d'Ouro. My 2 friends and I really enjoyed our meals and the portion size. The only suggestion I would give is to keep the fried potato chips crispy somehow. Maybe if they are served in a seperate dish on the main plate so they don't get soggy from the juices/oils from the meat or fish. Most people don't want them soft although I did like them soft myself. They are a nice thickness which I liked as well. Thanks!
