All I got to say is that Paulo is exactly what everyone in the reviews are saying , I went in for first time today and as soon as I sat down I knew it was Paul, he was so rude . The food on the other hand was amazing I will be back for the food but will ask not to be with Paulo

We came to Leão D’Ouro to celebrate a family member’s birthday, and unfortunately, while the food was not to my standards, the service was even more disappointing.
Avoid this place the price is outrageous!!
One of the dishes ordered was the chicken with fries and Caesar salad — but the salad was soggy and poorly prepared. That already set the tone, but the service made the evening far worse.
From the moment we walked in, our server, Paul, had a negative attitude. When I asked about a refill, he replied, “Buddy, there’s no refill,” grabbed the cup, and never returned with it. At one point, someone from our party asked for a drink without alcohol, and when Paul returned, he looked annoyed and practically slammed the cup on the table. Later, mentioned that someone in our party hadn’t received their drink, Paul dismissed us with, “I’m not a machine,” while rolling his eyes and speaking condescendingly.
Even though Paul is also Portuguese, he chose to be cold and dismissive throughout the evening, which turned what should have been a special occasion into an uncomfortable and frustrating experience.
When it came time to settle the bill, he didn’t bother to ask how we wanted to pay. We requested to split it in half so our party could divide it fairly, but he said it was “complicated.” When one of our guests tried to clarify, he told us we were “confusing him.”
This was our first visit, and sadly, it will also be our last. Poorly prepared food combined with unprofessional service left a lasting negative impression. when guests are made to feel unwelcome. We’ll be sharing this experience with our community, and we truly hope management reflects on it for the sake of future guests.

I had dinner here with my family. Food was good. Considering that the restaurant was almost full, the service was a bit slow.

We had our granddaughter's baptism there. They were great accommodating us and in setting our dessert table and our center pieces. The waiter was great and the food was exceptional.
At Leao D' Ouro, we had shrimp, calamari and grilled salmon for our entree, accompanied by the house red and sparkling water. The shrimp was listed as spicy, but instead came with an extremely sour sauce that overpowered the dish. The calamari and grilled salmon were just okay.
Total spending for two, including tip was $120. Service was slow for such a large place, especially with only two servers on the floor.
On the bright side, the bread served while waiting for the food was fresh and enjoyable.

We were a table of (7). Customer Service was great. Paul was our main waiter and was very attentive and communicated well. The other waitresses who were involved were also professional and easy to communicate with. The food was incredible. Quality food and reasonable pricing. Environment was perfect. The restaurant was full which gave the impression that the community loves the food and this place. We celebrated two Birthdays and the restaurant placed lit candles on the desserts we ordered. Excellent experience. This was our family’s first time at the restaurant and we really enjoyed it!

From the moment you step into Leão d'Ouro, you’re transported straight to the heart of Portugal. The warm, welcoming atmosphere paired with the rich aromas from the kitchen sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.
The menu is a true celebration of authentic Portuguese cuisine, featuring a wide range of traditional dishes prepared with care and passion. From the perfectly grilled sardines and bacalhau à brás to the mouthwatering piri-piri chicken and seafood rice, every bite was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. You can tell this place doesn’t cut corners—they honour traditional recipes and use quality ingredients that truly make a difference.
The service was just as impressive—friendly, knowledgeable staff who were eager to explain dishes and make great recommendations. Whether you're Portuguese and craving a taste of home, or simply someone who appreciates genuine, well-made food, Leão d'Ouro delivers on every level.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Portuguese dining experience!

We came to Leão D’Ouro to celebrate Father’s Day weekend, and while the food was absolutely amazing, the service was extremely disappointing.
Our server, Paul, was rude from the start. A simple question about how the potatoes were prepared was met with eye-rolling and a condescending tone, he pointed at the menu and read it aloud instead of just answering politely. My parents don’t speak English fluently, and my father is Portuguese. Paul, also Portuguese, still chose to be cold and dismissive throughout the entire experience, which made the evening uncomfortable and disappointing.
This was our second and now final visit. The food is truly excellent, but poor attitude and service from someone meant to represent the restaurant left a bad taste. Exceptional food alone isn’t enough when guests are made to feel unwelcome.
We’ll be keeping this experience in mind as feedback to share with our community. We hope management reflects on this, and we wish the restaurant all the best moving forward.
