Went to try the Easter Brunch, they had a good variety of options, food was fresh. Servers were quick and attentive. It was a bit crowded with not a lot of space between tables. They had a small gift for kids to celebrate Easter which was nice. Price was a bit higher than advertised.

My wife and I went in for a couple pre-show drinks recently and were extremely disappointed. The service was slow and lackluster (weird since it wasn't busy at all) and 3 of the 4 drinks we had were horribly balanced. The lady tending bar had to look up the drinks on their menu to see what actually went in them. Not a great first impression. We have other shows coming up and won't be back. Many other places nearby for food and drinks.

Good food
We had my mom’s BD here for 15 people and enjoyed the Irish Buffet after a concert. The food was really excellent, hot and delicious, not what you’d normally expect from a buffet especially inside a municipal venue. The staff were lovely, very attentive, had a long table already set up for us, and made my mom a special dessert. Couldn’t have asked for a better party venue. We thought it was great value too for appetizers, soup, salads, entrées, desserts and coffee.

Mostly used for dinner before a show or for special events like weddings, Valentine's etc. Atmosphere is while linen, would be a bit better ambiance without the numbers on each table. Three course meal was a good value ($60), and the beef short rib was hearty and well done! No espresso available, just coffee or decaf.

It was Christmas buffet. Turkey breast was tough. Ran out of filet of sole. Desserts mediocre, bread pudding dried out. Wait staff were lovely. Wasn’t worth $39
I had an event at this location and I have to say it went perfectly. The food was great, service was fantastic and the room was set up and cleaned up very quickly with no problems. My only issue is with the administration staff. They are very unorganized, it took four or five phone calls and emails for someone to just take my down payment and probably over 60 emails to just arrange for table cloths. The menu online and what they send you are completely different and the city of Mississauga staff and the staff at the restaurant do not communicate at all. After everything was said and done I got an email saying we owed $130 more dollars for "extra" children and guests that were apparently at our event. I'm not sure what children drove themselves to the event, but we paid the bill anyways just to get it over with. It is not worth fighting over $130... Would I recommend using this place for an event, yes but it is alot of stress for simple things....
LIVE Restaurant @ Living Arts Centre could be so much better than it currently is. It’s been there at the heart of the city for SO LONG but you never hear about it and it’s never a destination eatery. I’ve eaten the food and it’s not bad, it’s basically like a Kelseys or Casey’s and they try to set an atmosphere of dining hall sophistication but it doesn’t work. It also has a nice outdoor space for the summer months BUT you don’t really see a lot of folks going out there to eat outside. I recommend revamping the space to something truly artistic to reflect what the Living Arts Centre is all about. Hire a band or speak easy night. Or invest in a karaoke night. Put up local art and include artistic statues out on the patio and use some as table centre pieces. Re-landscape the plants and trees blocking the restaurant from street side views bc lots of ppl walk in that area. And actually invest in a good tasting menu with items that are basic but with a twist and offer some monthly specials so folks have reason to come back. And why aren’t there any ‘See a show + eat at LIVE restaurant’ offerings? When I was in Winnipeg, I visited the Human Rights Museum and they had a beautiful restaurant with outdoor space and a gift shop across the visitor’s hallway. The food was decent, they had specials, they had deals for an entry pass and a meal, they had healthy takeaway options you could enjoy in parts of the museum that were designated as okay to eat in. Theres lots that can be done at a small cost which will probably increase profits and food quality. Plus I’m sure Sheridan College students would love a place to relax, eat good food, and listen to live music or plays.

Decided to go for the LIVE Restaurant Lunch Experience from 11:45 - 2 pm offered daily from Monday to Friday at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga and I was very impressed. They had a special prix fix menu for $18.95! What a great bargain for the quality of food presented. For starters a rich and delicious carrot and ginger soup and a spring salad mix, my entree was a generous portion of baked salmon atop a Mexican style rice with 2 spring rolls on the side, very interesting and for desert a wonderful rich and decadent slice of chocolate cake. Absolutely incredible! Also offered are a la carte items to chose from as well. Thank you Ashley for your most wonderful and exceptional service and making my dining experience very enjoyable. Will be back for dinner and a show very very soon!
