We ate vadapav, grabbed chicken and pomfret thali. Seriously, the taste was too good, and the authentic blend of spices evoked memories of back home.
Thank you for retaining the original Maharashtrian taste.
It’s really nice to have an authentic Marathi restaurant in the GTA. The food was excellent, the quantity was generous. Pricing is reasonable. Strongly recommended and will visit regularly.
I went to Tadka Marun to try their Vada Pav, but I was very disappointed. The pav (bread) was extremely stale and brittle. The moment I picked it up, it broke into pieces, and I couldn’t even hold it properly. It was so bad that I didn’t even bother taking a photo — I just threw it away. I don’t understand why a restaurant would serve something so old and dry. The vada itself was tasty, but what’s the point if the bread is not fresh? It really ruined the experience and made it hard to trust the place.
This is a true hidden gem for lovers of authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. It’s a small joint, but well-kept—tables are clean, and the space feels cared for. There are no unnecessary frills here, just simple, soulful food that hits the spot.
The flavors are home-style and comforting.
Fish fry was superbb with Nice soft rotis delicious curries with refreshing Solkadi . A full meal leaves you satisfied, both in heart and stomach.
What makes this place even more special is the small section of traditional snacks and dry pickles (lonche) for sale. These are perfect to take home, adding a nostalgic touch and extending the experience beyond just a meal.
Handling fish in canada is Angaro pe chalna and add mutton toh haato mein bhi angaar rakhna. Chef did commendable job 👏👏, Komdi vade 😘, mutton curry - 😘😘, extra kiss for keeping that authentic marathi style masala, when u know how difficult to cook mutton in Canada. Chicken curry😘, I lost my soul in solkadi. disappointed with pomfret fry and surmai fry bcoz it’s too dry but that masala on it is 😘😘I hope chef should work on its dryness. Expecting onion, fry mirch, nimbu, thoda kothambir to make it next level. Shrimp 🦐 fry 😘😘. Shop is small but clean. Punha ekda yet aahot.
Love the misal pav here ..
We came here for breakfast and ordered the Misal Pav, Vada Pav and Chai.
Was a nice experience and had some flashbacks of Mumbai.
Good place to have authentic maharashtrian food.

Only Authentic Maharashtrian food in Mississauga. Must try King Fish and Pompfret
I had ordered Vada pav, Kombdi wade thali and Surmaye thali. Vada pav not at all good. Potato stuffing was not fresh. Tasteless. Kombdi vade thali was good but too oil Malvani chicken. Surmaye thali fish fry was great however shrimp curry in thali was too oily. Restaurant has to please upgrade the taste. More oily doesn’t make it tasty. I didn’t get that authentic Marathi taste. Please focus on food quality.
After 7 years of living in Brampton. Finally found pure & Actual mumbai food taste here. Exactly same taste, spices, ingredients.
Food is very oily.
