Bad service not like before , we order food by phone before one hrs and when we go their it’s not ready he start says sorry I will prepare now but we don’t have time we leave

I had the worse experience and this was the worst shawarma i had in my whole life. There was no communication, missing items and super dry chicken (plus way less chicken quantity as in the pic). I ordered shawarma plate and some items were missing in it plus no option was given to me if i wanted rice or fries. The wrap we ordered, looks like the pita was really old because it was falling apart. Im not even sure how they have this much rating review.

Late-night cravings led me to Sahara Express Shawarma & Grill on Dundas St. E in Mississauga, and it turned out to be one of those unexpected food moments that sticks with you. The place was nearly closing when I got there, and to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much—just hoping to grab a quick Shawarma before calling it a night.

The guy at the counter told me they were out of Shawarma, but he offered to make me something “even better.” At first, I hesitated, but with not many options left and the confidence in his voice, I said yes. That decision paid off.

He began preparing what he later called a Chicken Tawouk wrap—his own twist, using giant skewers of grilled chicken wrapped in fresh Saj bread with sauces and vegetables. Watching him build it was a full experience. The way he layered everything—from the seasoned chicken to the perfectly tossed veggies and rich sauces—made me really hope it would taste as good as it looked.

The result? Outstanding. The chicken had a beautiful char and was still incredibly juicy, with a smoky flavour that hit the spot. The veggies were fresh, and the sauces pulled it all together into something packed with flavour but balanced at the same time.

I did a takeout, but this is a place I’m definitely visiting again for a full dine-in experience. Great vibe, honest food, and a team that clearly knows what they’re doing—even when they’re about to close. Respect.
