I ate here a few years back and thought I give it another visit.
One of few Chinese restaurants in the immediate area.
But sadly, nothing has changed. The food is still mediocre. I had the lunch Special of soup, beef with vegetables, chicken wings and rice with a vegetable roll.
The soup was very bland. Even adding plum sauce and hot sauce could not improve it. Main dish was ok l. I did enjoy the chicken wings.
I had to keep asking for sauces. Most Chinese or Oriental restaurants leave soy sauce and a spicy shade on the table. I had to flag down people just to get these condiments.
The establishment has been around for decades next To the Food BASICS grocery store. I have no clue how they manage to run that place with so few customers and serving average food.
Anyway, have a great day. Don’t get your expectations too high at the Great Wok of China.

We just had a late lunch to celebrate Valentine’s Day today. We ordered calamari, spicy chicken wings, szechuan beef and bbq pork. All are taste tremendously good. We’ll definitely go back here. To add more, staff are also friendly.

Definitely not worth it. I came here on a quick lunch break and ordered a the Szechuan shrimp combo and paid $18 and some change and I only got 5 shrimps mixed with a bunch of veggies and the fried rice was literally rice with soya sauce no veggies no egg barely any flavour. For $18 you’d think you’d be getting a good meal. Nope not here don’t waste your money. Go to the shawarma place next door you’ll get a better bang for ur buck. The one star is for how quick I got the the food other than that 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Very disappointed. This has been our go to Chinese food place for many years. We typically have the food delivered and live a 5 min walk away. The last few times the food arrived cold and almost tasteless. And though extra hot sauce and plum sauce were requested upon ordering, each time there was none or only 1-2 packets included. On the third instance we called the restaurant immediately to complain and were told that a significant discount would be applied on our next order. Due to this, we decided to give them one more chance. When we called to order the food, the woman was unfriendly, cutting us off while talking and said no note was added to our account about any of this. She continued to interrupt despite us trying to talk to her about the issue, asking us if we wanted to place an order. Based on the lack of service, we told her we would not order from them again. Her response was that’s fine. As a small business owner myself I was quite shocked at the callous way we were treated after many years of being loyal customers. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and would prefer to give them zero stars. Bad food. Bad service. We found a new spot with delicious food and friendly service called China China Palace. Order from them instead.

Delicious food and amazing hospitality! The sweet and sour pork was crispy and saucy, and the owners made sure we were taken care of!

The manager directly asked me for a tip, and when I asked why, she responded rudely and used inappropriate language toward me. She even said things like “who will wash the dish,” which was unprofessional and disrespectful. And she used bad word to me.

The food has been reheated.
It's better when it's fresh.
It's not crispy or crunchy batter, it's soggy.
Poor quality meat.
Used to like their beef and broccoli, but then we got too many chewy pieces instead of the savoury, tender, dissolves in your mouth.
We also got two people vomiting after eating from here last night.
I don't think we will be ordering from here again.

Unfortunately the chili chicken was bland, unflavored and not spicy, the schezuan chicken had thin sliced vegetables no chili and the sauce was very watery. The chicken fried rice was not bad but it was a regrettably experience.
