Overall good experience. The naans were delicious! So piping hot and soft. Wasnt too thrilled with the dessert the server suggested. Should've stuck to the ras malai cheesecake.

This is my 4th time visiting this restaurant. The food is excellent and the ambiance is beautiful. My first visit here was with my friends, next time with my husband, next time with colleagues and last visit was with my boss. The food is exceptional and never cease to amaze me! Especially dam biriyani!

The food was amazing, especially the grills, but if you're looking for a place where staff sing happy birthday for their customers when they're blowing candles, well this is not the perfect place for you ? I ended up singing to my boyfriend alone and no one was contributing, it was almost silent.

Food and service were great! Lighting and music were perfect too. But the table that was given to us was damaged and shaking very badly. This made the dining experience VERY uncomfortable as we had to hold the table in place while eating.

Had a reservation on OpenTable and was still asked to wait an additional 10-15 mins despite the reservation. We were then only seated at a table after a discussion between staff because we pointed out that three tables were free. They had live music but it was too loud for the venue and space and when asked to move to another free table (as we were seated under a speaker), we were refused. Food quality has gone down since it opened. Kebob was cold and burnt but the biryani and butter chicken was good.

We enjoyed our evening out trying Indian food that we hadn't experienced before. Some a little spicy for me but still very good. The live music certainly added to the ambiance. Would have liked to have stayed for the disco too but not so much my husband. We'll definitely go back and try something new again.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! Service was very warm and caring. They were very attentive to our needs. Live music started around 8:30pm. Lovely musicians with a great voice. Loved the overall atmosphere!

We were on a North Indian food tour while in Toronto for 2 full days this week. It was a lot of fun trying the excellent choices and options in the area. Tamarind was a lunch stop on Day 2.They have an interesting variety and fusion-ish concept. We tried a lot of appetizers, including paneer bao, paneer taco, kulcha chana, chili paneer, and manchurian. I think the paneer bao and taco were ok. The chili paneer and manchurian were good. I can't say the same for the kulcha. Oh, not to forget the gol gappa shots. Awesome presentation on those with the gole gappa on top of a shot glass that come in a big tray with some dry ice smoke action. Then for the mains we had paneer and dal makhani, which were our standard test at each restaurant on the tour. The dal at Tamarind was really good. I would say that it was very rich and creamy, which made it a bit less the winning dal entry. The paneer makhani was good as well. Garlic naan and all were fine. I think we went at a time where the place was dserted (pun intended), so the service ended up being spotty. Oh, we did have this kind of mouse dessert at the end, which was OK,

The food was delicious but service was slow(35-40 mins). But my night was ruined when I found out the "Free Parking" had conditions. They have a paid gated parking and a short term lot(where I got ticketed). I got a ticket from Precise Parklink all because the receptionist here never asked me to register my plate. At other restaurants they would ask or have a machine to enter the plate yourself. I blame Tamarind's Landlord for hiring this private parking company and not putting up enough signs that it was a private lot. It turned a magical night with my date to a sad drive home. I am sorry but I don't think I will come back.

Not welcoming staff, THIS WAS MY SECOND VISIT ( first visit i asked for romali roti they gave simple roti like seriously) Found hair in tandoori roti, i showed one of the staff she took it from us went to show the cook but she didn't bother herself to apologize for that hair in the food. I did recommend but felt so embarrassed after i took them to your tamarind restaurant. TEACH YOUR STAFF SOME MANNERS PLEASE

The food is good. Like Delhi level good. But they just have 2 servers on weekdays which makes service a bit slow. I assume weekends would have even more wait times. Location is perfect and free 2 hr parking. A must visit but keep in mind it can take some time for getting the attention of server.

Good place but the servers were just pushy in having the table cleared as soon as we finished our appetizers. We asked if they were waiting on the table and said no but afterwards we still felt so rushed to get out.

Good Indian food. Portion is small. Expensive place. Service is moderate. Good wine selection available. We went for lunch and enjoyed their snacks .

Not sure how this restaurant is still open, probably because they have average to good range of food itemsBut service is extremely poor, the Manager there does not know how to treat/talk to their customers at least 6 customers including us had complaint about service. I mean if they don't want to respect theri customers atleast don't disrespect them. No greetings and very egoistic attitude towards customersAmbience was good, live music was good too but was loud for this kind of atmosphereAll in all, Definitely don't recommend it to anyone
