The Wilcox Gastropub: Takeout, Delivery and Dine-In

Had a party here for a group of 23 people. All of the guests enjoyed the food and several said the fish and chips were the best they'd ever had. Our servers were very lovely and patient with our somewhat chaotic bunch. They also accommodated dietary restrictions and offered special meals for the kids in the group. Would recommend to all for a special occasion.

Have been here only for special occasions, doesn't ever disappoint! Great service, actually. Food is always interesting and creative, menu changes often enough to keep me curious.

I ordered the Wilcox burger and the experience was pretty disappointing. The food took a long time to come out, and by the time it arrived it wasn’t hot anymore. The bun was burnt around the edges, which made the whole burger smell burnt. The patty itself was hard and dry, and overall the burger was so bad I couldn’t finish it.
The staff were friendly, but the food was terrible. I definitely wouldn’t recommend the Wilcox burger. Also, the lights kept dimming throughout my visit, which was annoying. I won’t be coming back.

Food was decent. Had a reservation for a party of 8. Handed us our bill underneath of the machine so felt rushed to pay. After inspecting the bill more thoroughly and after tipping 20% for mediocre service, realized there was already a 20% gratuity added to the bill. No where were we told about this, was not on the website either.

This was the second time booking the Wilcox for my birthday and it was another success. We had a fairly large group of about 22 people, had the front Parlour to ourselves, and the entire service was so smooth. We anticipated everything being on one bill but our server, Jacob, had everything split and organized before even asking if we could do separate. He was so attentive and took amazing care of us all!!

Loved our experience here. Attentive staff, delicious food, great menu, interesting interior. It was a bit cold so would prefer a cozier interior. We will definitely come back!

I visited a couple of weeks ago and witnessed what seemed to be the manager yelling at one of the cooks, while the rest of the staff stood off to the side in discomfort. If that’s how they behave in an open kitchen, it’s concerning to imagine what happens behind closed doors.

The food was good, but it’s hard to enjoy knowing the staff might be treated poorly. The whole situation made the visit feel unappealing.

We hosted a small engagement cocktail party in the Lounge space at Wilcox and it was amazing! We had a group of 35 people attend and the space catered to our group perfectly. As mostly vegetarians, the chef/kitchen was very accommodating to adjusting their canape menu and the feedback we got from our guests was superb! The servers were very friendly and efficient. It was the perfect ambiance for an evening of socializing with cocktails/mocktails and handheld bites especially with the DJ playing some tunes and glass ceiling giving a feel of an indoor outdoor space! Highly recommend for some group events!

My partner and I have eaten here every Friday while he lived in mississauga, it become our Friday tradition. The food and servers are truly amazing and it will be the only thing we miss about the city.

This is a great place for a date night or girls night out. the lighting was intimate and cozy. Our server was on point, it is all around is such a great place with amazing food and drinks. I love how they give you the history of the building but made old charm blended with modern taste it was well done. Definitely a place to check out
