We visited this store for the first time today and bought two sandwiches, baked goods and drinks for our lunch. We took it to go. Unfortunately we were not overly thrilled with what we ate.The bread on my husbands eggs salad sandwich was very dry. He also personally didn’t care for the multi gain bread that was used for the egg salad sandwich.My turkey bacon sandwich was unfortunately unimpressive. What I assume to have been cheddar cheese inside the sandwich was too much and took away from the turkey and bacon. I’m used to a more milder cheese that compliments the turkey and bacon but the cheddar cheese was not the right flavour combination. The sandwich did come with plenty of deli meat and bacon. I was also surprised no greens were used inside the sandwich. Turkey bacon sandwiches are a favourite of mine and have had many variations of it over the years. This one was not a favourite.From the baked goods we bought carrot cake and a chocolate cupcake. The piece of carrot cake was really really cold, like it had once been frozen. It was also very dry. The cake portion of the chocolate cupcake was ok, it was light and thankfully not dry. What I didn’t like was the icing on the top. It was hard, unusually hard, and very thick, dense and heavy. I ended up pulling it off the cupcake and tossing it in the trash.Our lunch was not worth the money it cost us.The staff was very friendly but sadly this is not a place we will be visiting again.*Updating to comment on response from this business.Thank you for the response to my review. We were not aware of substitutions being allowed or even a possibility as all foods seem to be prepared in advance and we didn’t notice any signage that stated we had other options other then what was already prepared and ready to go. We appreciate the offer to return to try again however as there was also an issue of the bread on the egg sandwich being dry/stale and the icing on the cupcake being overly dense, like we were eating nothing but hard lard, as already mentioned above, I think we will give this place a pass.

I found out about this place because I was a vendor at a fall event hosted by them. Well, i went back again just to eat and shop.Everyone is so friendly and the food is YUM! I bake scones myself and THEIRS ARE SO GOOD!!!!! And HUGE! And we waited for a pizza. It was ??? i would go back and eat another pizza and not share lol. The cheese was amazing and stringy, the dough was ?. I also had some fancy bold breakfast tea.Next time I will definitely go back and try their Globe restaurant as it was closed on the day I was there ( Thursday).If you arent going to eat, they have the cutest gift options available there!Oops i thought I had a photo but i cant find it anymore.

Since moving here a year ago I have been popping into this little store for 2 specific items: The butter tarts (recently won best in show at this years festival) and I'm no butter tart connoisseur, but I knew the first time trying them they were the best ever! The second is their cheese buns. Holy-hot-dang they are DELICIOUS. I've yet to try their pizza (but it'll happen and no doubt It'll be awesome). Stop by here for ice cream, sandwiches, local dairy, booze, body care, kids toys, kitchen items....the list is endless. You won't be disappointed :)
Love this place. I have passed it many times without stopping. I stopped today to try their award winning butter tarts. I was surprised to see all the homemade baking & awesome looking sandwiches. There is also gifts, wood fired pizza, assorted ice cream, soft & hard. This will be a regular stop for me.

We have been going to Rosemont General Store for years but recently the goods they are carrying, and the quality of the items, is suffering. This weekend for example, we purchased several items that included a sausage roll from the bakery and some imported Bramley apple pies. The sausage roll was horrible; greasy pastry with a completely flavourless and unseasoned beef filling. The tarts (at $12.50 for a small box of 6) were imported from England and if they had been as advertised, would have been worth the money, however when we opened the box the tarts were completely stale and the filling had dried out to form a condensed layer of cardboard-like, flavourless crud. If Rosemont is going to continue selling specialty items at premium prices, they need to ensure products are rotated and remain fresh. With a nice little British shop nearby, I’m surprised they aren’t paying more attention to quality control.
