Seven people in the back kitchen and it still took almost 20 minutes to get my chicken sandwich

This A&W has good food but everything else is TERRIBLE! The staff working the day we stopped by were way off base. They made a mistake with my husband’s order (he ordered spicy cruncher and they gave him chubby), when he approached the counter to inquire they questioned him about what it was he said when he ordered?! And then lady at the counter grabbed it from his hands and threw it into the garbage. They replaced the sandwich but we had to sit in the seating area enduring a painfully loud conversation between the gas station staff and the A&W staff. No one apologized for the mistake.

Anyway we have come to expect more from A&W so this was a dissatisfying experience.

Their front counter workers were MIA multiple times. Many other workers saw there was a lineup at the front counter waiting for several minutes without anyone serving us. One customer even left when he saw no one helping us. When I spoke up when one worker walked by, I asked if I could please have 2 takeout cups (to put my kids leftover drinks in), he said "I'm not even supposed to be working up here" with attitude. When I told him that no one was working the counter, he pointed to the person at the drive-thru window. Why should the worker at the drive-thru window have to work two jobs? When he's at the drive-thru window, he can't see the lineup at the front cash. This location needs to be staffed better and also have their front staff better trained. They shouldn't be walking by a lineup up without at least letting us know that someone will be helping us shortly. Everyone ignored us. Another note to add, it took them 8+ minutes to make 1 teen burger and 2 x cheese buddy meals. That's far too long to wait for "fast food". Don't go here if you are expecting fast service or at minimum, polite workers.

If i could give negative stars I would. The location by hwy 401 in Napanee Ontario has THE WORST customer service I have EVER experienced!! They COMPLETELY messed up the order, and then we're RUDE AF when we had to go back and have it fixed. Were told we can have our money back or our food, no consideration for the time we had to drive there TWICE. Unreal.... never ever again... avoid going there... not worth the money!

We always stop here on the way to visit family. Very clean washrooms and they make a great burger.

We come to the Napanee, ON Canada A&W on our way to and from camp. My daughter loves it there. It is clean, they are quick to serve, good food and have good customer service. I wouldn’t normally leave a review for a fast food chain but when we went there on the way up to camp they messed our order up, then charged me extra money for ordering another burger instead of just replacing it. The manager/owner apologized and gave my daughter a sucker. Which I thought was decent of him. Then on the way back from camp we stopped and I had ordered two fries but only received one. When I brought it to their attention they said I didn’t get charged for two and left me standing there in their haste as it was busy. I was kind of mad but brushed it off and sat back down w my daughter to finish eating. Then 2 minutes later he walked out and handed us a thing of fries. I was appreciative of that, and decided to leave a review, because in today’s world good customer service is hard to find. So go support the Napanee A&W, the manager/owner is a good guy and everyone there was working very hard to make their customers happy.

Seems like the burgers are spending way to long under a heat lamp. Brown cheddar ?? No longer the quality we would expect to get from A&W. Same in Kingston and Belleville

Stood there for 3 min. Nobody to be seen except for the guy on break in his phone, in front of the restaurant. He didn't even want to tell anyone in the back that there was a customer. I realize the customer isnt always right, but come on....

So grateful they have one of the most delicious plat-based burgers - the beyond meat one. I’ve tried it across the burger chains and so far, theirs is the best! Also love their sweet potato fries. The staff were so friendly and quickly understood it’s supposed to be a vegan burger so no mayo no dairy nothing.
They had a patio sitting which was not busy so we had a nice lunch with our dog in the middle of a road trip.

I went through the drive thru this morning to get breakfast for my family.

The girl taking my order was very rude, ordered me to go to the front and wait once I paid - there were no cars in the line. She slammed the glass in my face, after saying please - thinking she might get the hint and use manners / be kinder.

I went into the store, not trusting that she wouldn’t spit on my food. I asked once inside why I was asked to pull up to the front when there were no cars in line. They couldn’t give me a logical reason.

Learning experience for myself - wouldn’t recommend supporting this location.

I would give them only half a star if none if possible. Upon arrival with over an hour till close I was told they were not able to make any food because it was too close to closing but being a fast food restaurant with over an hour to close approx 9:40pm I was shocked. The worker was clearly lazy and making excuses, not wearing his name tag and refusing to give me a name he knew exactly what he was doing. Just wanting to go home early and I am disturbed with the work ethic of the employee.
