This has been my go-to sushi spot for the last 10+ years. Now it's my daughter's favorite sushi spot, too. I always highly recommend it and am usually happy with everything. You're not going to hit a home run every time you step up to the plate, but if you go in with realistic expectations for an Ottawa AYCE sushi place, chances are high that you'll leave happy. A decent amount of vegetarian/vegan options, too.

Used to be good food. Now service is slow, good is bland and usually luke warm when you get it. Tempura is obviously made in large batches and kept in warmers. Nothing seems fresh

The food seems to be inconsistent sometimes. Fruits at the salad bar is so hard to chew. I believe there should be a big improvement on the salad bar. The IPAD ordering system sometimes missed a lot of the orders. Servers don’t have any smile, all look very frustrated, no patience with your request. This is bad service. Im sorry that I have to be honest here. But I’m not feeling like I’m a customer at all.

I told you guys the food was bad and I still had to harrass you to only pay HALF the bill. I should of paid 0!

6 out of 8 got sick. My mom immediately got sick and had to leave and wait for us in the car. The sashimi isn’t fresh. The nori had a strong fishy weird smell. Very limited variety compared to other locations. When we brought this up to management, they smirked and laughed and didn’t care and still had the audacity to add a tip when the food was left untouched because it was disgusting.
A lovely young man served us ( Gioncarlo?) Was very polite,helpful and kind. We splurged for the dinner menu at lunch so we could get the AYCE that includes crab legs and sashimi- so glad we did. We were delighted by everything we chose.

I took my daughter to this sushi buffet. I wasn’t even hungry but was prepared to pay for two lunch buffets. When I asked if I could take my rolls to go, I was told I’d have to pay for “wasted food.” What?! We had 18 rolls between the two of us and they claimed we wasted food, adding another $10 on top of the bill.
When I mentioned that the fried rice was oily and didn’t taste good, I was told, “You don’t have to lie to us!” That was shocking and incredibly rude. Honestly, this was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had at a Canadian restaurant.
The food itself was average at best. Save yourself the trouble — I recommend going to Mandarin Buffet instead of 168Sushi Buffet. I’ll definitely never return to this unpleasant place.

Imagine going to an all you can eat buffet, having a meal and then having to pay a mandatory tip fee? That’s crazy, I was going to tip but making me pay for a tip is unethical and scummy
