Halibut House Fish and Chips

Very surprised that my halibut looked like pre-frozen Captain Highliner. I’m not sure the fries are even fresh cut anymore. $25 is a lot for something that appears to be pre-battered pre-frozen.

Had a fantastic experience at Halibut House! I ordered the salmon and it was cooked perfectly — full of flavor and super fresh. I also tried a bite of my wife’s fish, and the batter was incredibly crisp and clean-tasting, not greasy at all. The service was excellent — friendly, fast, and attentive. Can’t wait to come back and try their $5.95 breakfast. Highly recommend!

I have.been to this location a few times and Have never been disappointed. I always order the Halibut and chips as it’s the only fish I will eat. It’s always hot and fresh fires . I would totally recommend going here for lunch or dinner.

Tartar sauce is terrible... wish they had better

I came for the breakfast DAILY SPECIAL 1 egg (2) sausages, (2), buttered toast and fresh cut home fries. $4.95

I had a very relaxed and happy experience. The staff was friendly when we walked in. We were waited on very quickly and the food came fast. I asked that my egg be made with only the egg white and they easily accomodated my request.

They also provided Smucker strawberry jam in the little portion packs. I liked that a lot. I noticed they also had the little Jif peanut butter portion packs in other booths.

They had decent paper napkins that didn't feel cheap. The cutlery looked clean. The table top was clean and the booth was comfortable. The whole restaurant looked clean and tidy.

The bathroom was spacious and wheelchair accessible with an emergency button.

I would definitely go back to try their other meal options.

The fish tacos are amazing at this location. I'd say the food is better at this one instead of the Kanata one because it tastes fresher.

We've been going to Halibut House in Kingston for breakfast for years. It's the best breakfast deal in town. This was our first time at the Barrhaven location. Same great food, same great price, same great service. We'll be back for sure.
