Halibut House Fish and Chips

Ordered Hake, Halibut, fries, onion rings and mushrooms for takeout. Restaurant is clean, well lit and had a nice seating area. It was already fairly busy at 10:30AM, which I took as a good sign. Prep area looks clean and organized. Food was excellent. Fryer oil was clean and fresh. Fish had great flavor and the batter was just right, not too thick. Fries and onion rings were equally good, as were the mushrooms. Brought back fond memories of fish and chips with family growing up. Order was ready and waiting for pickup in 20 minutes. We will definitely be buying here again!

I dont eat fish and chips, but my dad does and we both had the Haddock. Very light, delicious, big portions and the prices are great! Will be back to try the $5.95 breakfast special too, which at that price is unheard of these days.

Very surprised that my halibut looked like pre-frozen Captain Highliner. I’m not sure the fries are even fresh cut anymore. $25 is a lot for something that appears to be pre-battered pre-frozen.

We have been before and found it great but today major disappointment
I asked for baked clams reason forgoing there today only to find they were out. Felt rushed to make a different choice went with the fish tacos . The fish was OK but the taco was overfilled by coleslaw that had to much dressing on it. My husband's fish tasted off. We were left sitting there after our meal I went to cash area to stand for another few minutes. No how was your meal nothing just you bill is $40. The kicker, we've both been ill all afternoon. Will not be returning.

Great spot to get fresh fish at a decent price.

We had halibut and cod.

The only downside is the greek salad didn’t have oil or dressing.

It’s been a few times and I always return to this delicious and delightful bright and inviting restaurant with fresh fish platers that are abundant and well with the price .Friendly service and I leave with a smile :)
