The woman from the cash glared at me with a sharp angry and scornful look. Without saying a word not even a "hello"she slammed the front door to the shop then disappeared to the back . I hightailed it out of there before I could even taste a crumb and scared of her unwelcoming behaviour. I will certainly not ever go back again!!

We were looking for dinner rolls for Thanksgiving. Theirs were so good they became a staple of our family gatherings.
Just pre-ordered ours for Christmas.
Also, their apple fritters are delicious.

Our favourite place to get our bread, whether sliced white, whole wheat, French loaf or baguette. Super soft and chewy the way we like it. Awesome flavour. Friendly folks.

Y'all know how I love trying out new places, so I finally made it out to this Albanian Bakery. They have Bureks for $5.50 a slice. They have spinach, cheese and meat varieties. I tried the meat one and although the filling was a bit salty, the phyllo crust was fantastic! So crispy and delicious, although really greasy, haha. I need to try the other types! I also grabbed some dessert squares for $1.50 each. It's a small bakery with some grocery items sold there too. Service was polite. The outside just says "The Bakery" so don't go looking for "Hasi Bakery" even though that's the name on the receipt and the business card. It's in between H&R Block and Ottawa Shawarma, in the Greenbank Hunt Club Centre. Lots of free parking.
