I've been going to another sushi place for about 10 years, and never thought I would find one I liked more. I've tried most places in Ottawa, but Hockey Sushi is by far the best and has quickly become my new favourite. High quality, fresh menu items. Very consistent. Surprisingly a highlight item for me is the orange slices, they're a wonderful way to finish off a heavy meal, cold and refreshing. The staff gives excellent service, the menu has a massive selection great for sushi lovers, people who don't love sushi, meat lovers, and vegetarians. Our waitress Cai Cai offered wonderful service, and deserves a massive thank you for taking amazing care of us and making us feel cared for and welcomed. I believe the price is very good for what they offer and %100 really recommend giving Hockey Sushi a try, you will not be disappointed!

The lamb skewers they have are the best in town! Big chunk of meat with delicious spices. The stir fried items are also impressive.The sashimi are pretty good as well.We came yesterday and there was a girl working there who gave amazing customer service.Would recommend this place to all friends and family.

The sushi was fine, but there were 2 (young male) workers, that were quite odd. They kept just staring at me & my friend when both of us were sitting alone waiting for the other for some time, as if we were doing something wrong, When we hadn’t been there even close to the maximum allowed time and were obviously customers going to pay for our meals at the end (My dad who was also with us, but sitting alone himself at another table took the bill for all 3 of us at the end. He said he also noticed the guys watching us)For context, at the start before we were both about to sit down my friend unexpectedly had to take an important call outside for 10-15 minutes maybe and for the first 10 minutes or so of that I was sat alone waiting to order until she got back, and I communicated this to the waiter that I was just waiting for my friend. Still weird stares, and even when I had begin to order without her and eat alone for a bit. Later after we had both eaten I had to sit in the washroom for around 15 minutes and she was sat alone waiting for me, she said they were staring at her then too. Keep in mind like I said we were definitely not there for over the max 2 hours even at that point. It was also clear we were there with my dad who would be paying for us both, as we all came in together and talked to the staff together, and at the start I got up a few times to talk to him when waiting for her to come in. Not being disruptive, the restaurant was nearly empty aside from one other table besides us.If there was somehow a reason, it should have been communicated by the staff rather than weird silent watching from 2 guys standing around on the other side of the restaurant… whenever I saw them, they didn’t even look to be working. It was rude and off-putting and made us all feel unwelcome and uncomfortableNice women’s bathroom, at least.. won’t go back.

I'm a regular customer at this restaurant because my office is in that area.They offer great service. We have the option to order online and have an option for Delivery or Pickup (which I often use during lunch). All the servers are very friendly and looks professional. The restaurant is very clean and the quality of the food is near perfection.I truly believe that this restaurant was the blessing from God.It's easily in my Top 3 best sushi restaurant of Ottawa.These are my top 5 favorite food so far:1. Steak Teriyaki2. Chirahi Don3. Octopus sashimi/octopus sushi4. Vancouver Roll5. Takoyaki

Didn't even get a chance to eat there. Turned us away as they've got all kinds of rules on when you can br servee AYCE and for how long you can stay. Lost customers because they said the AYCE would only be given to us for 20 minutes.
Went to Hockey Sushi in Nepean instead of Kanata. Food was great but there were a few menu items that differed from the Kanata location. For future diners, please note that this location is smaller in comparison to the Kanata location, food does take a bit longer since there is a smaller kitchen. But the food was great for AYCE and service was wonderful. This place does take out better in my opinion.

Came here for my 20th birthday celebration and was not disappointed Very good quality food at all you can eat. Food was tasty and service was excellent. I especially enjoyed the chicken fried rice and the great selection of sushi. Could have had bigger portions for soup but I still enjoyed it. Will be coming back when I have time.
