This was our second takeout order from here, and while the food was great, we had to wait 30 minutes past our scheduled pickup time. I understand delays on a busy Saturday, but that’s a long wait. Adding to the frustration, another customer received a gift card for their wait, while we only got an apology.

This restaurant is a small Italian gem in a mall in Barrhaven. Reservations recommended. Just returned from having an excellent meal here. The server was friendly and helpful in assisting us with what to order. The meal was hot on arrival. Can only say positive things about the restaurant. We will definitely be returning.

I come from Montreal. And I make it a point to stop by Porto a Casa Because it is so good. We had 5 o'clock reservation And we're told everything was booked up. A table to my right was empty and people that came in for takeout. Orders one was sitting down 1 was standing up. In that spot. And they wouldn't stop staring at us. My wife and I which told which totally ruined our meal. If we would've been sitting in that seat where these people were none of this would have happened. Please don't take this review as bad Because I think your restaurant And your staff Are incredible. It was just a strange situation that happened. That didn't have to happen. Hoping to return in the future.

The food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. Staff were extremely attentive and everyone was so friendly. The best Italian meal I've had in Ottawa by far, an absolute hidden gem if you haven't been before. Will 100% be coming back soon.

Wow wow wow! What a delicious experience!! Service was incredible and the food was to die for!!! Every meal brought to the table was delicious and the pasta was cooked perfectly ! The portion sizes are huge and the prices extremely fair for the quality and portions. I cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu. Make sure to make reservations as the place is super tiny.

The food was fantastic and service was friendly and wonderful.
The space is much smaller than before so reservations are a must, but once there it is less hectic and stressed.
One of my favourite Italian restaurants, the food is always consistently delicious. The prices are a bit high but you do get generous portions.

First time visiting Porto A Casa, was definitely not disappointed, invited a couple family members out for dinner. Everyone was truly pleased with the service, quality of the food. Being from an Italian family, this was just like eating Mama’s. Will definitely be back again.
