The decor is nice, the seating arrangement allows for some space between tables which is good. We went specifically for calamari and lobster rolls which we have not had for a long time. This visit has cemented the fact that I will not order lobster in a restaurant again. Way overpriced for what you get. I find lobster by itself bland. The roll which is not big, (picture a hotdog bun for size....)($38.00) was relatively bland as well. You could put shrimp in it's place and it would be just as good if not better. The rest of the plate was typical, coleslaw that had something a little sour or tart in it. Fries, fine, except some were pretty much burnt.
The calamari was good, although one could expect more for $21.00. I would go back, for some of the others dishes no problem though. My wife enjoyed her roll and plate!
Maybe I am just crotchety, tired of overpaying for food that does not live up to my expectations. All in all $129.00 for two rolls, calamari and a coffee (with tip).

Lapointe in Bells Corners is consistently good with excellent fresh seafood. Good wine selection and nice mix of seafood and fish choices. Service is good and the new manager Melanie seems to be very eager and keen. The atmosphere is nice and we have taken elderly people with mobility issues and picky tastes here. They are always happy to be invited. It is not an inexpensive dinner but to get a quality meal it is priced just right in today's new post pandemic higher price environment. We return regularly and highly recommend it. We have sat outside and it is shaded and fine but proximity to busy Robertson Road is not ideal. If you enjoy a well prepared fish dish, go and try it out.

I learned that Lapointe's had a gluten-free fish and chips option, so decided to give it a try. It was so delicious, generous portions, and service was super quick. The server was pleasant and courteous, and took the time to explain the other GF options. It was definitely worth the trip from the east end to Bells Corners. Highly highly recommended.

The tuna tartare is amazing. Unfortunately we don't have world class fresh in Ottawa, and I can't give 5 stars, but it's the best I've had locally. The tuna steaks are average, but again I'm going to attribute this to the supply.

Greasy fish and chips and horrible service. We went with our grandchildren. We had to request the crayons and activity materials and were given one activity book for two kids. Service was extremely slow with several tables served before us. We were quite prepared to overlook this because my husband had ordered soup and because I alerted them to my granddaughter’s nut allergy some time after placing the order. Perhaps they were remaking her meal to be extra safe? The food was below average. But after being served our meals we were totally ignored. The waitress took away two of our four plates and never returned. Didn’t offer dessert even though it was included in the kids’ meal. Didn’t ask if we would like the bill. We eventually flagged someone down to pay and get out of there.

Absolutely amazing sushi. Very fresh and tasty. Me and my mom come all the way from Almonte in order to pick it up. The kitchen is very understanding about celiac disease and staying gluten-free, and the lady working at the sushi area is also very friendly. Definitely a good place if you want to pick up sushi.
