Lone Star Texas Grill Barrhaven

Spent $157 on Valentine's dinner for my family. Ordered online at 8am for a 4:15pm take out pick up.

Order was not ready for pick up. When it was ready the team member working the take out desk alone did not put two bags of the three bags of chips ordered. I pointed this out and he corrected it.

Got home and unpacked the order and there was no cheese, lettuce or sour cream for the family fajitas.

Strongly recommend you add some staff on the takeout counter to have someone checking orders before they go out the door.

Your good is not cheep and the portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller...then to not give product that was paid for is a reason not to come back

What a bunch of idiots made me wait for nothing then thought we were a reservation when they didn't even take our name.

In one word, Lone Star is reliable and that's because it's always consistent. For over 25 years, I've been many times, and not only to the various locations in Ottawa, but also to the ones in Kingston and elsewhere ... and every time, it's been a great experience.

A few times, I experimented and tried a different plate, but 80% of the time, if not more, it's been those delicious make-your-own fajitas. The unlimited sides and unlimited warm house-made fresh tortillas perfectly complement the chicken and/or beef cutlets that are sizzling in a cast iron skillet with onions and pepper, well seasoned and properly cooked.

The pricing is somewhat high, and should be reduced by 10% to make Lone Star a more reasonable option ... but the service is always friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available on the menu.

Dietary restrictions: Just ask the staff and they would provide informed suggestions for your request.

Parking: Lots of parking space available in front of the entrance and on the side.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.

Wheelchair accessibility: Functioning electric doors and seating layout allows for wheelchair accessibility.

I was significantly overcharged for one of our meals today, by some very creative punching in on their POS system that I luckily caught before paying for the bill. I emailed management to flag this, and they didn’t seem to care.

Food and service is alright but their prices are now outrageous. Lone star used to be an ottawa staple for family dining. Now its small portions at outrageous prices.

This Lone Star was extremely busy on NYE 2024 and our take out order was very delayed. Afterwards we emailed the manager to share our unfortunate experience, they promptly responded and generously compensated us with a gift card for our next visit/order. Great customer service! Thank you, Blue!

Server was pleasant. However the ribs and wings combo not great..ribs were bland wings were very dry and fries too salty. Red sangria was way too sweet as were kids lemonade to the point none of us had more than one sip...I would not recommend this restaurant as food was sub par..

Mickey Mouse management. Always under staffed and under prepared. Can drive to Texas and back before you get any service from anyone in this place. The five 16 year olds at the kiosk when you walk in are too busy giggling rather than helping. Save your sanity and go to Taco Bell

Our nye was ruined. Our family tradition is lone star. I made the order well ahead and picked a time slot. My husband waited an hour and when he went to see what was up they informed he had to check in. No one told him, there was no sign and when he asked a server upon his arrival she said she wasn’t sure and wasn’t allowed back there. There was also no information in the email confirmation. Horrible communication, and horrible system, there is no point of picking a time spot to then check in.
We order ahead all the time using the time slot on the website. We will never be back.

We are a small family with a toddler, we decided to treat ourselves to a rare outing. Unfortunately we were disappointed overall, sat by the door and in a high traffic area. Our toddler was very distracted and did not eat well, we also frequently felt the chill outside every time someone entered or exited. While we waited for our meal we took our toddler to the bathroom to be changed and we were VERY disappointed and surprised to find that there was no child changing station in any of the 3 bathrooms.

Kid-friendliness: No change table for small children in any washroom.

I'm not sure how this place is even open. Food was an hour late, strak seemed microwaved, and the atmosphere was depressing.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Lone Star Barrhaven tonight . Our three-course meals were delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Special thanks to our server, Eastwood (Nick), who made the evening even better with his excellent service. The value is hard to beat—we’ll definitely be back!
