Lone Star Texas Grill Barrhaven

To be honest the food quality has dropped. The service has dropped and frankly overall experience has dropped. I think you need to review your overall performance. Back in the day the fajita plates sizzled, the chicken was juicy and the employees overall use to look like they were having fun. Today's visit had none of those. The bar server although attentive did not once mention or ask for the reason for the visit ( even though i made a note of it on open table). Even the cheese queso looked smaller. Its too bad this was a restaurant I respected but it seems to have lots its overall appeal.

There was 13 people at our table and when all our fajitas arrived, none of them were sizzling like every single time I've gone and ordered fajitas from there. They weren't even hot maybe warm at best. This was the case for everyone that ordered fajitas at our table. Then when I went see the waiter and asked that they sing my son happy birthday (21) he outright refused cause my son had jokingly said no singing earlier on. Every year we go to lone star for his birthday and they sing him happy birthday every year. I felt like I had to argue with the waiter to have them sing as he said he did not feel right singing cause what if my son has anxiety. I am his mother and never would I put my son in a situation like that if I knew that's how he would feel. Overall, between the food and the incident with our waiter giving me a hard time about signing to my son made the overall experience not great. Christine

Tasty but expensive and portion size was not impressive. No effort made to make my girlfriends birthday special by server. No gluten free dessert option. Game 1 of the World Series and the place was at 50 percent capacity. They had issues with the chips and salsa so was not served. Place needs promos for Friday night to fix this or people will just stay home on Friday's - or visit one of neighbouring restaurants. I've always thought more highly of Lonestar (for a chain restaurant), so this is painful for me to write.

No bad but not great. We had a terrible experience on our first visit, but decided to give this location a second chance. Some of the same problems repeated. Will not return. Really long wait to get drinks on both visits. Excessive. Also very long wait to get our food. Server was fine, but bar and kitchen staff seemed to be slow. Food was mediocre once it finally arrived. Overpriced for what we recieved. There are much better options in the area and better Lone Star locations in Ottawa area.

Had an amazing time at Lone Star! The food, vibe, and service were all top-notch. Huge shoutout to Kitty, Moonshine, and Wildflower — they brought such great energy and made the night something special. Can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I have been going to this location for over 5 years and we were very disappointed with our visit yesterday. The hostess let us know that they didn’t have NFL games even though it was Sunday. This would probably explain the massive empty bar. We were then told they had no smash burgers and were given a specials menu that we couldn’t order off of because of the time of day restrictions. We ordered an appetizer to be told it was also out of stock and our server didn’t do a quality check or clear our plates. She was more concerned with socializing with the group of off duty employees hanging out at the bar. Our food was ok but we noticed how the tacos have shrunk in size. Sad to say that we won’t be going back.

The sirloin steak dinner was poor quality. The meat was very tough and fatty. It was expensive for such a low quality.

Two couples had two seperate orders of fajitas to share, one app to share and two drinks each. Our bill after tip was over $350 for all 4 people. Both orders of fajitas were incorrect. The waitress said she couldn't hear us very well. All in all once we had the correct food it was good but for the value probably won't go back.

Such a fantastic place to eat. Food is fantastic as well as the service. Would highly recommend this place.

The building, inside and out, is very well kept and looks clean. The atmosphere, created by the servers and hosts, is welcoming and kind hearted. The food is well made and served in a timely manner. Overall a very good restaurant, excellent food and service.

I was here last week, and the service was amazing! Food was hot and good quality, our server was really nice and was patient as it was my first time there, his name was tango. I would come back again definitely!
