I had high hopes for this place — and to be fair, the food is genuinely good. However, I can't overlook the experience I had during my visit. Despite arriving early and waiting patiently, I noticed that other customers — specifically Vietnamese and white patrons — were served before me, even though I had arrived first.
As a person of colour, it was hard not to feel that I was being treated differently. Whether intentional or not, this kind of service dynamic is disappointing and disheartening. No one should feel less welcome because of who they are.
I hope the owners take this feedback seriously and reflect on how they treat all their customers. Good food is important, but so is respect.

Food was awesome! The staff was nice too. Just a heads up if you have a group of 6. I was told by the lady working there that I have to provide a minimum 15% tip due to my group size when I was about to pay. This was in front of my guest too!! After questioning this she later stated that it was optional. TIPPING IS STILL AN OPTION PEOPLE!! This event was overall a surprise to me.

I had an amazing experience at noodle house 79. The pho was absolutely delicious. Flavourful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and fresh toppings that really brought it all together. You can tell they put care into every bowl.
On top of that, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. They made the whole experience great from the moment we walked in. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re craving good pho and great service!

Terrible banh mi. Stale bread, pork belly was more of the shaved pork style, not what I was expecting.
Food was excellent, service was superior and ambiance was great. 15% senior's and 10% military discounts are a bonus.
