Some of the best hummus in Ottawa, fatteh was excellent, labneh was excellent, falafel & seared halloumi was very good, all the fresh bread was excellent including the zataar & veg pie. The gentleman at the counter was very kind and helpful. I’ll be back. Highly recommend.

This is my first time visiting Canada, and while researching, I discovered that Canada has some excellent Lebanese restaurants. This morning, we decided to try breakfast at Phynicia — and wow, what an experience! The food was absolutely delicious and reminded me of home; for a moment, I forgot I was even in Canada.

The ambiance was perfect, with beautiful Middle Eastern music playing in the background. Ahmed, who took our order, was incredibly kind and patient. We didn’t have a reservation, but he found us a great table right away. Throughout our visit, we kept adding more items to our order, and he made sure everything arrived just right.

What touched me most was that when I told him I’m just visiting Canada and heading back soon, he surprised us with a complimentary piece of baklava. Such a thoughtful gesture!

Had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our waiter, Ahmad, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend as the prices are very reasonable in compared to other restaurants, we will definitely be coming back!

I love this restaurant!! The atmosphere/decor makes you feel like you’re in Lebanon and it brings so much comfort. The food is amazing, well priced and the service is great. Ahmed was absolutely wonderful and is just so kind. I would probably come here every day if I could.

I have to compliment the food, it was tasty and freshly made!

UNFORTUNATELY… the service was very slow, however the waiter was very nice and friendly. My main issue was the older women at the desk. I found her to be very unwelcoming to me. My friend whose Indian was treated with smiles, but everytime she looked at me she was full on frowning and unwelcoming and providing super curt responses. Not sure if she just wasn’t having it with me or that I’m Chinese, but not something that I would like to experience again. Hopefully the attitude changes and other Asian members don’t feel this way and I was just a strange one off that day… but for that treatment I wouldn’t go back.
