Love, love, love this place. It’s tucked away in a small mall off of Longfields.

The food is fresh and really tasty. We’ve been twice already. We’ve ordered the chicken and the kebabs, with hummus, tabouleh, tea, fresh pita and veggies.

Ahmad and his family have been running the restaurant for 6 years. They are really lovely.

The freshness of the food at phynicia sets it apart from most other Lebanese restaurants in Ottawa. I enjoy falafels, and the ones at phynicia are the best I've had. Aside from the food, the service is great. I'm glad to have this place in barrhaven.

I took my family of five there for lunch today, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and very friendly hospitality. Ahmed also treated us by playing the authentic musical instruments that were on display on the walls. The ambience perfectly relaxed and enjoyable. I will be eating there again for sure!

Great authentic Middle Eastern food. I had visited Jordan earlier this year and this food brought me back. Ahmed went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I had a great meal. I forgot to take a photo before starting to eat, but I just had to dig in when I saw it.

I’ve always had an exceptional experience at Phynicia! The food consistently takes me back to the authentic Arabic flavors I’ve dearly missed since moving to Canada. Their Fattah and pies are absolutely my favorites, each bite feels like a little taste of home. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting us with bright smiles. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Ahmad and Dina for going above and beyond with their outstanding service. Thank you both for making every visit so memorable and special!

I’ve been coming to Phynicia since 2020, and the fact that I’m only writing this review now says everything—you get so caught up in how good the food is that you forget everything else, including leaving feedback!
The service is always excellent, and Ahmad in particular makes every visit feel warm and welcoming. Their Fattah is an absolute must-try, rich and flavorful in all the right ways. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the tahini chocolate—it’s unbelievably good (just… maybe don’t think about the gym or the calories afterward!).
Overall, it is amazing, from the food to the service. Highly recommend!

Came in, no one greeted me, waited no menu, finally got up and got my own menu. Waited no one came, waited over 10 mins and finally left. They pretended I didn't exist.

Phynicia is a wonderful spot for authentic Lebanese food in Barrhaven. The restaurant manages to feel both cozy and sophisticated, and the family-owned charm is immediately noticeable. The entire experience felt very welcoming, and we appreciated the effort they put into creating a genuine, traditional atmosphere.
The service was prompt and knowledgeable. Our server was very helpful and the staff handled a busy dining room with ease. On the food side, the quality is truly high; you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the recipes are traditional. We especially enjoyed the tahini kebab and the kibbeh plate, which was cooked perfectly.
Overall, Phynicia delivers on its promise of authentic Mediterranean cuisine and great hospitality. It's a reliable choice for a great meal. We look forward to visiting again soon to try the fatteh and foul.
