Every time I pass by ottawa, I make an effort to come here for breakfast. I really like the food.
Other info: lots of parking, it's also a gas station so you can buy other things, there is always a table available, I think I only had to wait once and it wasn't that long of a wait. Large portions, good bang for your buck, nice variety of food, friendy staff.

Used to be a great place for affordable breakfast but over the last few years the prices have sky rocketed making it not worth it to go anymore. The gas prices here are also on average 5-7 cents more a litre than anywhere else around.

This place is an absolute Gem. It's so beautiful and old school I just love it. The menu is amazing all that they have to offer. The food was absolutely amazing.
Seeing the customers interact as everyone seems to know each other was really cool.
I will definitely be coming more often.
Love the sign when you first walk in.
Good food, good people always find each other. Couldn't be more true for this beautiful diner that is a true gem.

I really really wanted to love this place! It’s so neat to get to watch the staff cook. It feels like a family cooking for friends. The prices were insane. Almost 8$ for a bowl of soup. 6$ extra if you want fries with your sandwich. I ordered anyways, but our waitress a short lady with curly hair literally ignored us over and over again even though we were sitting right at the kitchen. Our coffee was never refilled and I think we only got it because the waitress who seated us got it for us (short hair grey hair, she was lovely and very attentive to her tables.) we were never offered anything to drink. We had to choose between a pickle or coleslaw. I’ve never had to make the choice you usually just get both. For the cost and the service we left before our meal arrived. Very unfortunate.

Quirky diner established in the 60’s inside a gas station/convenience store. French toast was high quality and tasty, but the portion was small—even as the main plate. Prices were steep for what you get. Fun vibe, but not great value overall.

I visited Ralph's tofay and while the service was genuinely pleasant, the staff were friendly and attentive, the food left much to be desired. The prices were surprisingly high for what was offered, and the portion sizes were quite small. For what I paid, I expected a much more satisfying meal. It’s a decent place if you value good service, but if you're hungry and looking for value, you might want to look elsewhere.

Just sat at Ralph's for over an hour waiting for our breakfast, only to get up and walk out without ever being served. The server herself was wonderful, got us coffee/tea and took our order right away, we just never received it. I'm giving 2 stars only because we have been there many times before and always enjoyed it (although the prices have gone up a lot), but this time was very disappointing. Not sure we'll be back again.
Great food, fast service.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Ralph’s Diner. The prices are insanely high for what you actually get. The bacon was mostly fat with barely any meat, and the ‘home fries’ were just thinly sliced potatoes that lacked any real seasoning or flavor. For the cost, I was expecting much better quality. The service was fine, but the food was a letdown. Definitely not worth the money.
