Nachos were good, perfect portion for two. Service was not so good. Bartender greeted us but seemed almost surprised we were there. Brought menus and water then only returned to take our food order. We were not offered or asked about drinks which I found odd for a restaurant/bar, especially on a Friday (did not ask as I was not drinking).I know there was an event happening later in the evening that may have been taking staff attention, but it was a very lack luster dining experience.

We came on Boxing Day for a stay at the hotel and decided to have dinner at the restaurant. The restaurant staff was amazing and we had great service! We were there with a small child and the gentleman serving us was exceptional! He was accommodating and lovely to our little guy! We had a great dinner! The food was fresh and delicious! Thank you for making our stay wonderful!

We love River Lounge! The place itself is absolutely gorgeous. I've attended and hosted many events here, and I am never disappointed. Marlon and his team are absolutely incredible. Always friendly, accommodating, and just an overall great service. The food is great as well, as a buffet or as a course meal either way I would definitely continue to return here!

We hosted a 140 person event with dancefloor, and everything was amazing. The food, the staff, the service, the quality, and the venue/decorations were all 10/10.The attention to detail is unmatched and the owner Marlon was working with us all through the planning phase, always available to discuss and make a changes, and was with us the whole night making sure everything was perfect.From a dinner out with friends up to a wedding or large gathering, I can't recommend River Lounge enough.
We hosted our charity event at the River Lounge and the experience was excellent. Marlon the owner went above and beyond to ensure our event was a success. The food was very good with generous portion sizes, service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. All the guests had a wonderful time. I highly recommend the River Lounge to anyone looking to organize an event.

The River Lounge is a hidden gem of Ottawa on the Rideau River. The fireplace and stone arches were the perfect romantic and timeless backdrop we were seeking for our New Year's Eve wedding.In our meetings, the owner, Marlon, would make us feel at home and go to great lengths to understand our vision and needs. We were never pressured to spend more than we intended. In fact, Marlon took our budget so seriously, whenever we considered something above our budget he would use his creativity to make things work for us. Marlon understands the importance of every detail and adjusted his seasonal decor to accommodate our wedding theme.Marlon himself is very particular about food and wine. We have to say his chef created a phenomenal dining experience, complete with wine pairing for each course, that impressed all of our guests. The staff at the River Lounge were incredibly friendly and accommodating with our guests and made sure our special day went off without a hitch. They even put together an elaborate brunch for the day after our wedding!Our family and friends said that our wedding was truly magical and enchanting. We recommend the River Lounge to anyone who wants their wedding or special event to be a truly memorable experience!
