I finally got to try this place for poutine. Our whole family, are lovers of poutine, and have eaten it all over the Ottawa area. To a person they say this chip wagon in the Canadian Tire parking lot is the best. I finally tried it out today, and it was terrific. After a few bites, you could tell this is not the traditional factory-made poutine. The potatoes were just the type that used to be available before all the commercially made uniform ones came into being. The gravy was good and not too salty. Service is quick, and of course, you were sitting in a parking lot, so it’s a good place for a quick bite. A steady stream of people was coming to get 13, and the price isn’t bad at all. From one poutine lover to another, you have to try this place.

Been going to S&S for poutine for years. Though the cheese isn’t always super fresh (it melts a lot), the gravy and fries are delicious. Prices are fair. I’ve heard others say the gravy isn’t salty enough but I never had an issue with it.

I’ve been here twice. The fries were too crunchy and tasted as if they were refried and/or overcooked. They don’t have the freshness quality. I wish I could give more stars, but I tried twice and both over cooked and blah.
