S&S poutines never fail to impress! They are one of few spots that actually have great poutine in Ottawa that gets me going back every so often.Fries are always crispy and often even ones that have been covered in gravy. The curds are high quality and don’t melt immediately.As others have noted, they don’t heavily salt their poutine fries or gravy, which I actually prefer over extremely salty gravy. The gravy is nice and thick with a rich gooey consistency that prevents fries from immediately becoming soggy. I often ask for extra gravy layered in for a small extra charge, which lets me have abundant gravy for every bite of fry.

I ordered a poutine there and it was a very good size and it was delicious. The owners were in there and they were very kind and have a great sense of humour. It's great to see people running a business and having genuine passion for their work!

Always fantastic fries! Great fresh cooked and generous portions. Yes they did raise prices for 2023, but who hasn't? Still very reasonably priced. 2023 menu attached! NOTE: Cash only. If you haven't tried S&S Fries, you don't know what you're missing!

Best poutine in Ottawa. Best poutine in Canada. Better than Quebec poutine! The owner mentioned that they'll be open until November 30th this year (2022), so get your fries and poutine while you can. They may close early on the 30th as he won't order as many potatoes.

The food was very good and fairly priced. The french fries were served in styrofoam instead of a paper bag so they were a little soft and mushy.
