I ordered a classical banh mi. It was delicious but slightly small. It could have been slightly bigger. The toppings were great. The bread was fluffy and the meat was tender. I couldn't tell what the restaurant specialized in as the restaurant was called Banh mi but when you're inside the restaurant you see pictures of desserts mixed with meals and Chinese characters. It's confusing. I think they need to find a them and stick to it rather than mix it. Also the pricing is a little strange. Dessert cost more than a regular meal? Overall, the food was good, just pricing can be adjusted to attract customers.

How do I get my $51.00 back. My friend recommended the sandwich but I decided to have noodle soup, my son had sticky rice and my other son had the sandwich. Awful, the noodles came from a package that was warmed up on the microwave. Never again.

Shaved ice was great, service was friendly and kind as well as the atmosphere feels very cozy and pretty.

The Sandwiches are incredible and the flavors for the sandwiches that I recommend with toppings go for spicy and you'll never regret it. Overall I'd give it a 10/10 for the juicy and crunchy bread and flavors.

We came in for takeout since we figured it’d be pretty quick and we wanted to have a Banh Mi on the go.
I remember when this place used to be sugar marmalade and was surprised to see that the walls still had the sugar marmalade items, and the curtains leading to the kitchen were still branded as that. When we paid, the receipt still said sugar marmalade so I was a bit confused on the branding.
After about a 10-minute wait (which we think is a little long for a Banh Mi considering we were the only ones in there at the time), we got the grilled chicken Banh Mi because they didn’t have the true classic Banh Mi with the cold cuts. I guess the Banh Mi itself was a decent sandwich, but I wouldn’t really call it a Banh Mi. The chicken tasted like it was in a teriyaki type of marinade, and there wasn’t enough cilantro or daikon in the sandwich to provide enough freshness and cut the heavy taste of the chicken. The baguette was also quite tough.
We’ll have to come back and try other menu items, but a bit disappointed that this Banh Mi place’s Banh Mi fell flat for us.

Food was really good, had curry wings, a prom banh-mi and golden mango drink and thoroughly enjoyed the all.

They said cannot take our order.. too busy, use the app instead store was empty. We turned around and went to PrestoTea instead

What a lovely restaurant. The food was great. I ordered the korean style chicken and takoyaki, both of them were flawless.
The staff was friendly and advised me a lot on the food. Next time I will try the slushy that she introduced.
Overall, there wasn’t anything to complain about. Really satisfied.

We had been to the Sugar Marmalade downtown before, so this V BANHMI was a welcome addition to Marketplace's cornucopia of restaurants. Though they're named after banh mi, they have a lot more, including desserts like shaved ice that you can't really find elsewhere in Ottawa.

They've got enough good food options to make coming back to try different things enticing, but they also have great customer service: we showed up an hour before closing time and still got full service from the staff even after closing time.

Ordered 2 banhmi for take out and took 30 mins to make. People after me got their order before me. Not impressed. Banh mi is considered a fast food to make. Shouldn’t take 30 mins.
