Food id decent, but prices are insane, even by today's standards. There are many other thai restaurants where you could get more and better food for 60% of the price.

The food was hands down so good. I used to eat meat back then but not this time, and I was still impressed with the vegetarian food. It's ALWAYS busy. Probably busy is an understatement, it's pretty crowded so definitely don't think of this place for a date, lol. The servers are almost always having panic attacks and sometimes it just rubs in, but I remind myself that I'm there for the FOOD 😋 and the food has never disappointed. And since it's 5 mins away from ND HQ, good luck for a seating in the afternoon on a weekday ☹️

The food was amazing, restaurant was small but cozy, and neatly decorated. The food portions were large, but fairly expensive. Otherwise the service was great, and the servers were very kind.

Very disappointing $50 individual lunch! Thick Tom Yum soup, basically tasteless with large quartered very old soggy black mushrooms. Green mango salad was marginal. Red curry seafood with it's frozen squid and hard overcooked Bay scallops wasn't even close to acceptable. The only good part of the meal were properly cooked shrimp.

My advice would to stay away and avoid this restaurant if you want a casual and average priced Thai food. I should have checked the menu and reviews beforehand. Pad Thai was close to $30 and tom yom soup (very small) was $9. Food tasted very mediocre at best. Pad Thai noodle was not cooked well. Tom yom soup was salty and very small quantity. The only reason why I am not giving it a 1 star is because of the service. This is by far the most expensive Thai restaurant and it shouldn't be like this. Pad Thai should not be more than $25 in my opinion.

Pretty good thai restaurant. They were doing takeout only in early August due to staff vacation, but they allowed us to eat in with takeout containers and cutlery anyway. So as they always are, the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The best Thai food in town hands down. Incredible customer service. I had 2 small kids in car and ordered take out, they brought the food and bill to my car so I don't have to come out with kids. Truly amazing, thank you

Portions are very small, you pay way too much money. 2 dishes for take out - +70 CAD !! - Rip off

Next Project awesome

The food is amazing!! I’m well travelled in europe, UK, south america, all over US … for years almost weekly, so I’m quite confident in saying sukhothai’s food is some of the best thai food around. Looking at local places:, I would say on par with Siam Bistro and green papaya, and I would argue the best of all of them. I got really angry reading one of the recent reviews dismissing food and restaurant. It is well kept and clean, and the food is amazing. We went tonight after having been a year since our last visit and we savoured every bite. Would I visit again? You can bet we will and soon! There is a reason they have been around as long as they have!!!

I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. The food is excellent but over the years the prices have gone up and up. The portions are not large and they charge a fine dining price for everything including plain white rice. Last time I was in they had come out with yet another new menu. I could not believe the large increases in price. Some of the small appetizers went up $1.50 so you are basically paying $7 for 2 small skewers of chicken, or 2 of the smallest shrimp springrolls you have ever seen. Most main course dishes are almost $20. For 2 people to go out, it would cost well over $100, and that's without alcoholic drinks. For me that's way too much. So, great food, way too expensive. 2025 unfortunately this is going to be my last review of one of my favorite restaurants. The prices just go up and up. They don't actually reflect reality. The owner drives 2 Porsches.
$30 for a pad thai. It's noodles. I have been patronizing this reataurant since I was a kid. I saw the growth over the years. I feel the owner has saved up enough money and just wants to see what he can get away with. It surprises me that they still have any clients at all. But there are still some rich people in and around bells corners. The food is great but I'm going to get my stuff from other places that charge 80% less for the same stuff. Sad to see you go. Greed wins every time! Check out something different! 2025 update. imagine spending over $33 for a dish a noodles? (Padthai) Going since is was 12 now I'm 44 yo. I can't afford to go to this place anymore. To bad. Great food. Ridiculous prices. Sad. Just went to a thai food truck in Carleton place the dishes are exactly half the price (not as good). The owner wants to drive his Porsches into retirement and doesn't care about what he charges. This place will be closed soon!

I don’t write many reviews unless I feel ripped off by the price or quality of the food/service. This is one of those instances. This is by far one of the most expensive Thai restaurants I’ve been to, especially considering the quality of the food. The shrimp wraps—just two pieces—are $9. That’s over $5 per shrimp once you factor in tax and tip, which is ridiculous because it’s two shrimp wrapped; nothing special.

I ordered the Pad Kee Mao with beef, and it was a major letdown. The meat had a strange texture—like bits pressed together to resemble slices—and looked off. The tomatoes tasted borderline rotten, and the bamboo shoots had an overpowering, unpleasant taste, like they hadn’t been rinsed properly after sitting in a can for too long. The whole dish felt carelessly thrown together.

In the end, I paid $45 for a disappointing Pad Kee Mao and two shrimp wraps. Anywhere else, you’d be paying around $20 for the main dish and maybe $6 for the shrimp—and the quality would be far better. For reference, I ordered 6 main dishes elsewhere, and it cost me $132, including tax and service charges. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Used to always got here for lunch but it’s been a year since I went back to this regular spot and was greatly disappointed. Quality of food degraded. Lunch menu prices did not just increase by25% before taxes, but also food sizes were reduced. I ordered a chicken pad Thai and for 23$ and got a small plate of noodles drenched in thick sauce and few shreds of chicken! Flavour was ok but felt ma opus from amount of sugary pad Thai they had on plus it was not hot plate. for 23$, I expected better quality and more than 10 grams of chicken! Won’t be going back as for 15$ I can get way better quality and nutritional lunch elsewhere. Too bad it was a major disappointment, didn’t feel good after eating it looked like dead food!
