I’m deeply disappointed with the customer service at this bakery, despite their reputation for great products.

I placed an order for a birthday cake, and after a mistake was made in the billing, I had to make multiple follow-ups—both via phone and email—only to be met with dismissive and robotic responses. After I had already paid the missing delivery fee, I received several emails insisting I still owed payment, causing unnecessary stress and confusion.

What should have been a simple, enjoyable experience was marred by poor communication, a lack of accountability, and no acknowledgment of the mistake or the inconvenience caused.

This is a business that seems to prioritize order fulfillment over customer care, which ultimately leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them can make all the difference. In this case, the lack of empathy and failure to resolve the situation appropriately has left me with little trust in this company moving forward. I will not be ordering from here again.

We had a great experience with Take Another Bite for our wedding day breakfast and lunch. They were very responsive via email throughout the planning process and made thoughtful suggestions based on our group size, which helped everything go smoothly.

The food was delivered right on time, clearly labeled, and very well organized. Everything was fresh and tasty. Our guests loved it, and their efforts gave us one less thing to worry about on our wedding day.

We would absolutely work with Take Another Bite again for any future catered events and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service and good food.

There were 37 of us who shared 7 platters of delicious food, well presented, promptly ordered and delivered. I would order again in a heartbeat. After you have lost someone, you are inundated with official documents to sign under emotional circumstances. By catering so much pressure was lifted. Well done!

I used Take Another Bite to cater my baby shower. They were very helpful and easy to work with when planning a somewhat custom menu. On the day of, the pick up was effortless- they packed my car for me and at the event, everyone mentioned how great the food was! I was really impressed with the whole experience and would for sure recommend/use them again for catering.

Staff was super friendly & checked in the back to see if they had any Nanaimo bars available. They did & a few other treats I was hoping for. Lemon Coconut bars are a fav!

Tried once and I am not going "Take Another Bite" at this location. The workers there just don't care. No wonder the place is dead unlike Simply Biscotti down the road. No one wants to come back. The baked goods are not fresh at all and tasted like it was made few weeks ago. The texture was rock solid to even bite through.

I ordered a birthday cake from here. The cake was lovely, we got a very big cake which was pleasantly surprising as it was very affordable. The cake tasted amazing, everyone kept asking where we got it from.100% recommend.

the owner was unpleasant to deal with

I'm going through some health issues and have a small baby, so I'd ordered a weeks worth of flash frozen meals. They are so, so good! They're healthy, tasty, and best of all no cooking involved. The portions are generous and I can feed myself, my Mom and my 16 month old loves them too. I'll be a returning weekly customer for sure.

This cafe was recommended by the salesperson in next door. So despite the google review I still gave it a shot, I’m glad I did. Since they offered so many different stuff. It’s hard to make decisions right away. The staff was friendly and shared with me what they offered. At the end I tried a sweet and salty cookie and it was wonderful. I wish I have grabbed more stuff. The café atmosphere is very welcoming. Their other savoury menu looks great. Would love to try again next time.

I ordered Take Another Bite for a catered lunch for my office. I chose from the Create Your Own Lunch menu which had a very wide selection of options to choose from. They were very accommodating with any specific requests I had it in regards to food allergies/restrictions.The delivery was early, everything was presented beautifully and the quality of everything we had was delicious.Since their menu had so many options I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Vegetarian options: So many delicious vegetarian options to pick from!

Dietary restrictions: Everything on the menu was labelled if it was gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian which really helped when I was picking items.

I can't believe I forgot to add this place to my review list!!! I not only had the honor and privilege of being employed at this wonderful company last fall and winter, until life got complicated. But that's another story. First, NOTHING here is precooked or measured, everything is handmade using fantastic family recipes with nothing but the best ingredients, the owners Bianca and Mike are not only the best employers I've ever had privilege working under, they are genuinely hard honest family couple and make some of the best food you'll ever have. Their sandwiches are absolutely to die for and they even have speciality coffee drinks hot and cold made from fair trade organic coffee bean farms, and also have a wonderful art gallery from local artists for sale at reasonable prices.And when it comes to the prices of their food and drinks, MAYBE slightly more expensive than your generic subway restaurants just WAYYY healthier and considerably tastier.I would say it is definitely worth travelling out of your way to try out this place, and don't forget to try their nanimo bars!!!And I can't forget, I miss you bianca and Mike! Hehe

I am not sure why the Colonnade location bothers to turn on the “open” sign. You arrive and there is no one at the counter. They have a call bell but you could ring it for dear life and no one will acknowledge you. You see a number of them working in the background but don't expect anyone to look up or even acknowledge you. When they do come to serve you, they make you feel like you are a burden.Why should anyone support a business like this? Instead of “take another bite” it should be “take your business elsewhere”
