This was our first time hiring a caterer and I definitely had high expectations for the price I paid to accommodate 40 guests. I was horribly disappointed with the food. The sandwiches were dreadful and I was embarrassed to serve them. There was barely anything inside the bread. The veggie tray was fine, as well as the fruit tray. The other platter was unfortunately very crowded and food was soaking into the crackers making it quite soggy. While having my email communication and completing the ordering I was informed I would have cutlery delivered as well. Once delivered to my surprise I was running out to the stores to buy them. And when I called with concerns I was told \"I am only the owner\" I do not have a request for cutlery on your order. Very disappointing. If you are the owner you should be trying to resolve the situation and not just respond with I am just the owner. Very disappointed and will never recommend this to anyone.

WOW!! TastersHUB catered a garden party at my home last weekend and I cannot say enough positive words!!! From the excellent consultation before the event to decide on the menu and the format, to the kind and professional serving staff, to chef and his AMAZING food, and a quick and efficient clean up - Tastershub was absolutely terrific!! My guests are still raving about the food - the best catered food ever! I also want to acknowledge that COVID best practices were also demonstrated throughout making me and my guests feel comfortable. Thanks to Nandini, Chef and the whole team!

Little background: a backyard wedding at our home of about 35 ppl. All meetings were done through zoom with the owner Nandini (with sometimes the chef and coordinator). Nandini was not present on site the day of our wedding. Pros: -Day of service was amazing; the chef, the servers, the coordinator, the bartender far exceeded our expectations. We want to give props to the bartender Wesley, he kept everyone happy and gave a fun vibe -We were able to request the food we wanted (not restricted in picking from a set menu). This was important to us as we have a very multi-cultural family -Main courses were amazing (korean pork belly and beef wellington) -They allowed us to change our date once free of charge (but after that there is a fee) -They take care of rentals if needed Cons: -We felt like a lot of times we weren’t fully heard. Nandini sometimes asked same questions that were already discussed in previous meetings -In the beginning, we gave them a budget. She assuring us that budget would work, but when she sent us the contract, it was double our budget (before taxes and gratuity) -She sent us the contract more than a month later than she said she would send it; once we got the contract, we had a couple days to sign it + send the money -Initially the contract wasn't sent with the invoice. When we asked for the invoice, we found that there were alot of things in there that we didn’t need. There was also an extra hour of service added for the servers/bartenders. These were fixed in the next meeting -We were told that we must have 2 bartenders, but the day of our wedding we only had one bartender (and we paid for 2 bartenders) -We were told we can only do the tasting 2 weeks before the day of our wedding. The only date we were available was a holiday, which she told us was doable. But come closer to date, she tried to reschedule us, so we only got the tasting a few days prior to our event -During the tasting, we only got to try one main dish. We had canapes for cocktail hour, but Nandini told us that was not part of the tasting. Should we got to try the canapes, we would’ve definitely wanted to make some changes as there were a couple that we did not like. We were also told we couldn’t do a tasting of the wellington because there is no way of cooking a small portion of a wellington. We weren’t told any of this before the tasting -The pork we tried during the tasting had a different sauce than what we had the day of our wedding, so the tasting was essentially pointless -We initially wanted them to do our wedding cupcakes. When we received the contract that ended up being double the budget, we found a separate bakery that would do the same thing for ⅓ of the price. When we mentioned this to Nandini, she told us “we’ve already talked to that company and we would be the best price offered”. But in the next meeting, she told us we could do the cupcakes with that company. -There were alot of things we did not need for the rentals. She told us the price will be adjusted according to your needs (but was never adjusted). Ex, she told us we need carafes to pour wines, but on the day of, there was no carafe, and wine was poured from the bottle. -There was a huge turnover of staff during the process. Our chef + coordinator changed a few times. It was very disorganized and we weren’t sure who exactly we were supposed to contact throughout the process -Garbage management was poor. Maybe this is because it’s a home setting, but all the food waste was mixed with other garbage and just left outside so we had to deal with animals ripping through every bag -Since our wedding was at our home, their staff used our kitchen. We had a few kitchen items missing (kitchen towel, tongs, ladle). We asked the coordinator if they had seen it but they said no. We later found our kitchen towel in the garbage. They were both extremely helpful in their recommendations for the food and the reception in general. My sisters and I were a bit stressed to hold a reception during Covid. Nandini was the kindest and most professional. The reception went perfectly well and the food was excellent. I highly recommend them.

Dealt with this company recently and specifically the owner herself, Nandini. She was the rudest and the cruelest individual I have ever dealt with. She was fine at first when she was trying to secure the deal (of course, everyone is nice at the first stage). But when we struck the deal and the day of the service came and my hands were now tied, she turned into such a cruel and mean person out of no where and cheated us out of a lot of money. We got cheated so bad my blood boils to this day thinking about it, not to mention the overwhelming amount of disrespect I and my associates received, we were in such shock by how severe her cruelty was. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY OR THE OWNER FOR ANY REASON. I AM DOING YOU A FAVOR BY WRITING THIS.

I recently went to my friends wedding where this catering company was. I can’t believe the service, between the condescending owner and then having to miss a portion of the wedding because 10 mins before food was served one of the close friends to the bride was told there was no servers and we need to gather 6 friends to serve the food. The poor bride had been threw so much already with Covid cancelling her wedding multiple times, she did not deserve the attitude that was given. She was also told that the owner cancelled the servers with out her concent when the bride made the owner aware things wernt going so well for the venue. Not once did the bride say the wedding was cancelled but somehow her servers were all sent different ways after they were paid in full. The owner and 2 of her staff also didn’t wear masks or gloves yet the servers (us 6 friends) were told we had too. Now I understand because we were going near people but as a professional business you would think the necessary precautions would Have happen all things considered being in a pandemic. Aswell the staff were seen multiple times wiping sweat from the face and head not washing hands after. half the food I witnessed be put on the plate was done by their hands. I also realized once we had to clean up aswell as serve that most plates came back with most the food remaining on the plate, aswell I visibly saw that some of the food was NOT prepared by the catering company as it was bring scooped from a ziggys container. Hands down the most disappointing food I’ve EVER had at a wedding and terrible service with condescending comments and arrogant behaviour, As if it was the brides problem instead of the catering company. You should be ashamed of what you promise and can’t deliver. Not to mention I herd multiple times it was the brides fault the original venue cancelled and that the servers she did find (1day before the wedding) didnt want to drive to the location for only 2 hours so they never showed up... what kinda service is that!?!As I’ve read all the other reviews and your condescending arrogant comments I don’t expect an apology for the awful customer service but I would be ashamed of the service provided as I’ve read the reviews and there is more terrible then good. Such a pleasant surprise for Fathers Day! Food was creative, delicious and more than enough. The dessert was served in the most adorable mason jars I’ve ever seen! I totally recommend!

I used to go to tasters hub consistently when I first found this place. food was by far the best in Ottawa prices to match. but as I continued to go they kept turning over staff and the quality of food went out the door and prices jacked up. not to mention quantity went down. multiple times they didn't have food that was on the menu. or closed for unexpected reason even turned away with 30 mins left before they closed on a couple of occasions. I used to recommend this place to all my co-workers and friends now I warn them to stay away. used to be a 20 out of 5 now I cant give it more then 2.
