Food is not good at all. Try KETO YOUR HEART bakery down town Ottawa. Don’t waste your time here!! The owner cannot take responsibility and just argues with everyone. Check out her response to EVERY single review and wait for it………

Came to write a 3 star review about how disappointing it is that their website is inaccurate (still showing lunch menu that is no longer being served).

Now I’m here writing a 1-star review after seeing how the owner responds to customers.

I called the place to order a gluten free cake and the lady who was talking to me just hang up the phone one without not finishing my sentence that’s rude and bad customer service .

We went for the first time this week and had a great experience.

Everything at the bakery is soy and peanut free, and there are a ton of dairy free options as well!

The owner, Sue, was super nice and answered all of our questions. She took time to listen to my concerns regarding allergens and was incredibly empathetic.

I had a couple of extra questions I forgot to ask while I was there and since my phone was acting up, I emailed Sue twice & she got back to me really quickly both times (15-30 minutes).

Everything we tried tasted amazing, especially the brownie! Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back!

The baker was in the store. She is amazing!

The products are all clearly labelled with any potential allergens, which made shopping really easy. The vegan waffles are delicious.

Hello,

We’ve came to the bakery thinking that it would be a great time and look around for some goodies since we like desert. As I came I didn’t feel welcoming which is an important part of the customer service. Just smiling and say hi. What is something important as a person that took food handling is that there’s a way of putting the desert in box to make sure that it is sanitary with gloves or tonsils or a wrapping paper. For someone that worked in food industry we all learn that it is a basic that we learn since the beginning and it is necessary for the health of everyone and every customers. Which was not the cas for us, all the desert was taken by hand which is not sanitary. The dessert were all put in one box which it can mix the flavours of each squares. I would recommend putting one layer in the box or add one parchemin paper between the first and second layer.

Thanks for serving the gluten free community in your area .

My daughter went in to this store and sent me what happened.
After reading other comments it appears as though there are considerable similar experiences.
Customer service is your business. Why are you so rude? Do better.

From my daughter:
Honestly was some of the worst customer service I have ever received. I went in to pick up 2 cupcakes when they first opened today and walked up to the display case. The women behind the counter didn’t acknowledge me whatsoever and looked to be writing something down. All I said was “hi do you sell cupcakes” as there was none in the display case and she rolled her eyes at me and said yes let me just stop what I’m doing for you and see if we have cupcakes?? She then walked away and I should have left then. I tried to be pleasant afterwards incase she was having a bad morning. However when I went to pay for the cupcakes the machine wasn’t working I tried Apple Pay and my card and the machine wouldn’t work. She then blamed me for the machine problems and when I said I had made a purchase at metro minutes ago she asked me if I really didn’t just have 10 $ cash. When I responded no I don’t carry cash she rolled her eyes again and unplugged the machine and said she didn’t know what else to suggest to me she then shamed me again for not having cash and said I could etransfer but at that point I simplly couldn’t deal with her unprofessional behaviour and extreme negativity so I walked out. I do not recommend anyone come here as this is now the second time I’ve experienced terrible customer service for simply existing and asking the lady to do her job. This won’t come as a shock to anyone if you read any of the other reviews.

I visit the shop yesterday since I'm new to the area and I'm gluten-free, My grandmother used to go there all the time and get me my gluten-free bread .I have never experienced such terrible customer service, not only did you lose me as a customer you lost my grandmother and her friends.

I bought sourdough bread and focaccia. Both are really old . Focaccia taste is not bad but sourdough has really strong apple cider test. And as everyone else said the lady behind counter wasn’t friendly at all!

This establishment never bothered to respond to a nice email asking them to consider making a birthday cake. Do they want business? We found a more responsive, positive business.

Great tasting food, but the customer service has a bitter aftertaste.

Cozy. Quaint. Warm home feeling. A perfect little shop to pick up the most fabulous ready to serve: sweet or savoury pies, cookies, breads, cakes, oh my! She helps those with allergies and restrictions and provided the most crave worthy desserts. Thank you ? happiest customer. This location owner operates, bakes, and puts smiles on everyones face. You’d be suprised to learn it was dairy free if you didn’t know it!! :)
The cost, ?, is worth every bite.

Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and dairy free. This place provides fabulous and delicious sweet and savoury dishes/ meals/ treats for this plus other restrictions.

At the very least, the owner's responses to customer reviews are HILARIOUS. I check to see if Susan's written anything new weekly. 😂
