The WORKS Craft Burgers & Beer

I used to love The Works a few years ago but now, the burgers really aren’t better than any random bar. The tragically maple burger was sad and short and generally underwhelming. The place only had one server working the entire restaurant for dinner. As a result, the service was painfully slow and our food waited so long to be brought out it was only lukewarm. There really is no point in going here when you can get a burger and fries of similar quality for $10 less at basically any bar. I’ll miss you, The Works, you used to be an Ottawa institution.

Had James as a server and he was absolutely fantastic. Refills came before i even knew i was running low, food was delicious and came out promptly, and the holiday decor was a great touch.

Really enjoyed, and will be back :)

Great service- thanks Ashley!!- and the food is always soooooo good! Highly recommend the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon! Big plus is that the gluten free bun doesn't fall apart.

The food was as expected from the Works, decent, fairly tasty, but nothing exceptional. It did the job and we enjoyed ourselves. What WAS exceptional was the service. Our server James was incredibly attentive from start to finish and went out of his way to answer questions, adjust our orders and the timing of food arrival to meet our requests. We were also there with our two year old, and they were super kind to her and very accommodating of the weird kind of questions and customizations you ask for with a toddler. Thanks to James and the folks in the kitchen!

Their pulled pork poutine is absolutely amazing, big portions of food and drinks, service is awesome, sherry was nothing but friendly. Beautiful atmosphere, would definitely recommend eating here
