My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant yesterday and we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The food was fresh, well made and very tasty. The service was friendly and quick. My only negative is that the restaurant environment , although nicely set up and decorated, is quite run down from years of use and needs some refurbishment and TLC. Great experience otherwise.

The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere exquisite. The service is friendly and fast. The food however is very average. I've been to this exact location several times over the past decade, and their chicken pad thai used to be so much better. We're talking a drop from 8 over 10 to maybe 4 max. To be fair, I didn't try other items from the menu, so there might be other items that are great, but the pad thai has definitely deteriorated in taste, presentation and texture.

I came here like 10 years ago and haven’t been back since. Wasn’t worth it, spring rolls were tiny and frozen. The pad Thai was okay, sushi was okay, nothing crazy
Always great food, amazing service and clean restaurant. One of my go to spots for lunch or dinner.

Ordered Pad Thai via Uber Eats. It was the most garlic'y Pad Thai I have ever had, to the point it was all I could taste. It's supposed to be a sweet savory peanut sauce, but I couldn't taste the peanut for the garlic. It also had regular onion instead of green onion. And the noodles were on the mushy side. One good thing was that it was saucy, unfortunately, I couldn't eat much due to the garlic. All this said, my daughter did like hers.

We've been clients of the Thi Fusion restaurant since it was located in Kanata Centrum in 2010. Unfortunately, our visit on Sunday, Nov. 10th for dinner at the Hunt Club location, was a total disappointment from all points of view. Here's why:
SERVICE quality:
We arrived at 5:45PM, and received the food at 6:37 (2 persons, not a big group!). There were only 5 other small tables with clients. But only one waitress to do everything: take orders, serve food and drinks, payments, etc. She did her best, but this is a very low standard for this kind of restaurant where food processing does not take long.
FOOD quality:
1. The "Hot and Sour soup" was only sour; absolutely nothing "hot" in it. It's been for all these years the MAIN reason why we eat in your restaurant!!!
2. The "Purple sushi", cooked with "purple" tuna fish, was orange and totally different in taste, definitively not "tuna".
3. The Shrimp Bento:
- The spring rolls were barely warm.
- The Sushi rolls were cold as if served from the fridge, not freshly made as in the past; the finishing part was not nicely cut, vegetables were hanging out of two rolls (bad presentation!); no ginger or wasabi!
- Shrimps were overcooked, and one was black on one side, burnt. Were they reheated instead of being freshly cooked? It sure looked and tasted like.
The only good thing that evening was the Australian wine, probably because it was imported, not "made in restaurant"... It's easier to get it from LCBO and sushi/sashimi/etc. fresh from Farm Boy, and all this for half the price and double the confort (at home).
Conclusion: We drove from Kanata for a "fast and tasty" dinner, as we were used to receiving so far, right value for the money spent - not cheap! None of our expectations were met. Therefore, after 14 years of enjoying Thi Fusion restaurant food, we'll never step in this restaurant ever again!

This place used to be good but definitely needs management attention.
1) as many others have said service was very slow but friendly. We were one of two tables in the restaurant. Went on a weeknight. One waitress that was also bartending/ takeout processing. I did also see one sushi chef.
2) sushi quality tasted good. Good portions of fish on each piece and price was not unreasonable. No complaint (except #4 below maybe?)
3) pad Thai was sub-par. Just uniform taste, texture...boring overall.
4) both me and my co-diner had explosive diarrhea within 1.5-2.5 hours after leaving. We had eaten no other meals together that day.
5) ambiance and cleanliness needs attention:
Table looked like it needed a proper cleaning (beyond quick wipe-down) and there were no-see-um sized flies attacking us at the table (mentioned in another post too).
Bathroom: urinal out of service. Moderate cleanliness.
Music choice really killed all the "fun night out" energy. It was a depressing sleepy lullaby that belonged at a funeral home. Honestly there was no vibrant or even classy jazzy feeling...it was almost as quiet as a church and the music put everyone in a trance of sleepiness and "meh".
It seems this place has fallen into a sedentary state after Covid were it leaned-into take-out biz and the sit-in is now an afterthought. With better music, proper cleaning/upkeep, a bit better food quality as it used to be, and more prompt service this place could again return to former glory.

Disclaimer: Uber order.
My experience was all in all displeasing. Rude customer service, incorrect order description, and low food quality.
I ordered a vegetarian pad thai, the description seemed pretty tasty and yikes should I have just gone with Thai Express. First, their vegetarian pad Thai is not vegetarian, the sauce has fish sauce in it, which they fail to disclose in the ingredients on Uber...however that was not my main issue with this restaurant. The main problem was with the subpar customer service. The call started with an inquiry into what may the ingredients include, and after I found out their vegetarian pad Thai is not actually vegetarian, the response was a mocking, "we can put every ingredient like salt, pepper, and sugar...". Lastly, the taste...let's say that the 57% rating on Uber was not lying. Salty, yet also tasteless, not even the crush peanuts they put on top had any flavour. I'd say the best part of this meal, is I got an expensive plastic bag to reuse as a garbage bag.
Morale of the story: Read the reviews before you attempt to order. This might say 4.1 stars, but that 1 is more important than the 4.

The nigiri and sashimi were a bit bland, but the presentation was nice. Price was reasonable.
