I had a great experience at the Post and Beam. For some reason it took about 10 minutes extra for my food to come out while the rest of the table ate but aside from that minor snafu everything was really great. The patio was gorgeous and the food top notch.
We love feeling like we've traveled back to a simpler time. This place is all about the history and fishing in the Rideau Lakes with decor and ambiance that hasn't changed in 75 years. This is where we go for "comfort food" and it never disappoints.

Great food in a warm, friendly atmosphere. I think my favorite of the many fine breakfasts, lunches, and dinners has to be the fish and chips.Dietary restrictions: Just tell the waitstaff and they'll accommodate.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome and many suitable dishes available.
