A lot of people complain about their no-laptop policy, but honestly, I’m grateful for it. The place is always busy, and without that rule, I doubt we’d ever get a table! Their lattes are some of the best I’ve had in Toronto — perfectly balanced, just the right temperature, and consistently delicious. The atmosphere is lively and social, and I love that they bring your order right to your table. Overall, A-OK Cafe feels a step above most coffee shops. Highly recommend! ☕✨

Laptop-free café? First time I’ve ever heard of that. As soon as I took out my laptop, the waitress almost yelled at me with a very serious face, like I did something terrible, “You can’t use a laptop here, it’s laptop-free.’ If that’s the rule, she could’ve said it in a much politer way.

Stopped by this café with my wife today (Sunday, Sept 7, around 1:30 PM) for a quick coffee and cake while shopping. To our shock, when my wife was about to sit at one of the many empty tables, she was immediately dismissed by a young female cashier who told us all the seats were “reserved.” There were plenty of open tables, and there was no special event or occasion happening at the café or the mall. It was obvious that the staff simply did not want to serve us and fabricated an excuse to avoid customers.
This kind of attitude is appalling in the service industry. Instead of being welcoming, we were treated with arrogance and dishonesty. My wife and I left feeling completely disrespected and distraught. I truly don’t understand how a place with staff who show such terrible work ethic and disregard for basic customer service can survive in business.
If you value respect and hospitality, do yourself a favour and avoid this café.

I’ve already left this Cafe a review from my personal but you can’t leave 2 reviews so I am using my food blog page. I’d like to say that I’ve already expressed how amazing the food & beverages along with the service is at A-Ok. But as someone who has been visiting regularly , I’d like to express how hospitable the staff is. Special thanks to Bruno who is the manager. He was cashing me out a while ago and I had a stressful day and couldn’t find my card in my tiny purse. He was insisting it’s on the house and rung up my order anyway. I ended up finding my card & paying. However, was super thankful for such generosity. Today I visited again and was excited to have the croissants because they are DELICIOUS! And Bruno and the staff were so welcoming first thing in the morning. Such kind service + delightful food & hot drinks is why a customer becomes a regular. thank you and keep being great. Surprised there isn’t a 4.9-5 star for this location.
Also petitioning to bring back the Manchego, prosciutto croissant

“I’m usually someone who doesn’t leave reviews because I’m super busy, but I had such a great experience at A-O-K inside Aritzia in New Market that I felt compelled to share. Romy, the barista, was incredibly professional, kind, and positive. Her dedication to providing excellent service made my visit feel special, and it’s not often I come across someone who makes such an impact. I’ll definitely be back because of her outstanding service. A real gem

The service was terrible. I ordered some coffee, but my order was incomplete. When I went back a second time and told them my coffee hadn’t arrived, they said “okay,” but it still never came. They didn’t care at all. The three baristas working there were the worst servers, in my opinion. Plus, most of their products were bad. I was very disappointed with the staff. I don’t think you should go to this café.

On a slow afternoon, I got my drink and sat down and used my laptop and I was told they have a “policy” for no laptops. Keep in mind, there’s no signs that says that. Or at least visible signs. If your going to make a policy, make it clear…
