For me, one of the most important parts of any restaurant experience is the quality of customer service. Even if a place is not fancy, a warm smile and genuine hospitality from servers or staff can make all the difference and create a wonderful experience.

At Ajisen Ramen Newmarket, however, I have often found the service to feel a bit cold and unfriendly. The staff rarely greet with a smile, and the overall atmosphere could be much more welcoming.

I am not commenting on the food itself, but I do believe that improving the friendliness and customer interaction would make this location so much better.

amazing experience
we come here quite often and every time it’s a 10/10 rating
not pictured are cold noodles, they often come in different flavours each season and every time it’s amazing. great unique dish that i personally don’t see often at ramen restaurants, but it always satisfies because it is just so good!
here we got the classic pork katsu ramen with shoyu broth. the pork katsu was out of this world, such tender and meaty pork pieces and the fried coating had a great flavour. came with a nice dipping sauce. the shoyu broth was amazing and had such a deep flavour. amazing every time
the other one was the pork shoyu tonkatsu ramen which you can never go wrong with. reliable choice and great dish!
the corn salad was underwhelming but all it needs is just more salt in the dressing. the crab was in such a small portion but it was okay. the corn was lacking flavour but you can’t help that sometimes. it’s an okay dish and can easily be improved by seasoning it
staff is super nice as well. clean restaurant

Food was pretty good ajisen is relatively consistent it's Ramen but I found the vaughan location to be tastier and have faster/better service, decent overall though!

Ajisen as a whole would benefit from a kids menu

Excellent ramen. Ever since Kuma Ramen closed, I've been looking for a good spot in Newmarket. Happy to find it at Ajisen, a business founded in Kumamoto Japan back in 1968. Nice service and atmosphere as well, and prices are fair. I will be back.

Food was filled with oil and had some weird taste that made my mouth numb. Its wasn't the spice, it was something else i couldn't figure out. Not eating here again

Dropped by Ajisen Ramen in Newmarket, Toronto, for a casual lunch. The place has a clean vibe and service was pretty quick and friendly. The menu’s got a good mix of ramen options plus some side dishes and bubble teas.
Tried the classic tonkotsu ramen — broth was creamy and flavourful. Noodles had a nice bite, and the pork was tender but a bit thin. The portion size was decent, enough to fill you up. Also had the takoyaki on the side, which was crispy on the outside and gooey inside—solid snack.
Prices are reasonable, maybe slightly on the higher side for a casual bowl of ramen, but not unreasonable. Overall, a good spot if you’re craving a quick and tasty ramen fix in the area.
Ajisen Ramen is a restaurant cha, launched first in Kumamoto, Japan, in 1968. The restaurant chain is now spread over more than 15 countries.

The new promotional menu is a joke. Tiny portions, missing ingredients, and misleading info. It said I can choose ice cream or soft drink, but there wasn’t any ice cream to begin with. Just got stuck with a soft drink I didn’t want. No apologies at all from server or manager. Won’t be going there again.

We ordered via UberEats. We have been to this location in person before and knew that the food was excellent there.
We ordered four different ramen bowls. An unpleasant surprise this time was that the dishes came in unlabeled containers, so we had a hard time attributing which bowl was what (while being very hungry). I hope the restaurant will start labelling the dishes, at least with the names abbreviated.

Hands down, the BEST ramen I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried a lot!
Ajisen Ramen completely blew me away. From the first sip of that rich, perfectly seasoned broth to the last slurp of tender noodles, everything was pure comfort in a bowl. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, the portions generous, and the service incredibly welcoming. You can tell there’s real passion behind what they serve. If you love ramen, you owe it to yourself to eat here.
