Halibut and Chips were great. very generous on chips. I would recommend a two can dine option if you are not super hungry. I gave 4-5 for service because she did not suggest the 2 can dine option since it was actually our first visit. It was very good and found the fish was not greasy. The calamari was also quite good with a generous helping. I will certain go to this location again. I am surprised that they don't have an active website and the picture the menu has to be changed. those prices are quite old. Halibut and chips was just over $25.

All I can say .... Halibut House over at Hwy 7 and west of ninth line s batter s better and fish size is a bit bigger. But service was excellent!

Such an amazing meal at Chip + Malt! The shrimp outstanding the fresh-cut fries are outstanding! It's family-owned and run, which makes it that much easier to go and dine it. You are always welcomed with a warm smile and great service! It's a must-visit spot in Newmarket for sure!

Food was excellent. Their this and that platter lasted 3+ meals. Very nice owners. First try was takeout. Second try will be dine in; my plan is to order just a salad so I can try their fried mars bar and sticky toffee pudding (gotta balance out good for you and bad for you).

This place has old school fish and chips served on newspaper. Always good with fries that are fresh not frozen like a lot of places. Parking is a bit of a walk if you cannot get a spot on Main Street. Servers are very good and food is always delivered hot and fresh. Fish is obtained locally from responsible suppliers from what I could find out. Seating is good with lots of room on the benches .Highly recommend.
Try them.

Solid Fish and Chips joint. Friendly service. Sticky Toffee pudding was a little below par IMO.

The best fish and chips in town by far !!!
We love to eat here and especially like the halibut and haddock. The sweet potato fries are delicious and the best we’ve ever had.
Service is fantastic… we love to sit in Robin’s area although all staff are friendly as well as the wonderful owners.
Lovely decor and great location on Main St. Newmarket !! Five stars for sure 🙂

Their fish and chips are great, and generous. And leave room for dessert because they make their own ice cream and deep fry candy bars

We arrived after the Santa Claus Parade with 10 kids and 7 adults 🫨🫣, and even though the restaurant was already full, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They made sure the kids were served quickly with the best chicken fingers and fries they’ve ever tasted. The adults enjoyed delicious fish + chips with huge portions! Thank you SO much to the team for the amazing service, especially on such a busy day 😅

25$ for one piece of Cod and the most stale and soggy fries I have ever seen. Overpriced and terrible quality. 1/10
