Was thoroughly disgusted after eating here. Food came out cold, and the bacon, in particular, didn't appear to be cooked properly. Had less than a third of the eggs and home fries and had to stop.
When waiting to pay, I saw the cooking staff cooking sausages and to get the grease off them they were using their hands and rolling the sausages on some towel sitting on the table in the prep area then using their hands again tossing them into takeout containers.
Absolutely nasty place.

The food was beyond expectations! The spicy sausage omelette is a must. They even have choices for hot sauce. I will be back frequently.
Great place for breakfast with the locals. The atmosphere is a reminder of 80s North American diners, and so is the breakfast. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. The food was just perfect. I loved the omellete and the home fries. The prices are very good for the portion and service as well.

I had a service appointment in Newmarket and the staff recommended this breakfast spot. It has a few locations but I think it is ‘independent’ but not sure. I try to stick to independent restaurants, but at times it is difficult to tell if it’s a stand-alone or franchise. There are three locations in the area. The server was very friendly and top notch. The coffee tasted fresh and good quality. I try to eat fairly healthily, so ordered the Avocado toast and eggs. I am a big dude and was not sure if I that would fill me up so I also ordered a side of hash browns, thinking they would be seasoned potatoes. Unfortunately they were a bad version of the McDonalds fried hash browns. Bad choice. As is my nature I didn’t send them back, and regretfully ate them. Automatic heartburn and my cholesterol went up two points. If I had stuck with the Avocado Toast and coffee I would have given the food a 5/5. Anyway, price point was good and I would go back.

My family and I have been going to the Yonge and Mulock Day Break location every Sunday morning for years now. Every experience is always wonderful and the food is great. We are always served by the male waiter. He is the best waiter I’ve ever experienced. He’s so friendly and always serves us with a big smile and a great attitude. We always look forward to seeing him and Alice every week. He’s patient and very friendly! Although we didn’t see him there last Sunday, we all look forward to seeing him this Sunday!
Kid-friendliness: We always bring my two nephews one is 2yrs old and the other is now nine months. We are always provided with a high chair and an extra table to put the babies car seat on. We have all became a big family with the serving staff! This place is wonderful for kids! I highly recommend this place if you have kids, especially with the serving staff we are always accommodated by!!

Our family have become regulars at this charming diner in Aurora. Alice is the most wonderful hostess and treats everyone who walks through the door like family! I don’t think she forgets a face!.
