I went with my brother, sister-in-law and friends over the weekend, and we had a great time! The room we rented was very spacious and had great furniture, the food was delicious and Cameron, the waiter did an amazing job!

Absolutely fantastic experience here. A friend and I arrived and were immediately greeted warmly by staff, we enjoyed good food and played a board game.

The atmosphere was relaxed, inviting, and even when it began to get busier that sense of beinf in our own little space did not change.

Many, many many board games and all in good working order from what we could tell. I will definitely come back anytime I am in the area.

*they currently have string lights up from the holidays, and it really adds to the atmosphere of the space. I hope they choose to keep them!

We went tonight to Goblets and Goblins for Puzzle Night, and it was such a great experience. It was our first time visiting, and my wife and I absolutely loved it. There was a wide assortment of puzzles to choose from, and we decided on a 500-piece puzzle, we even almost finished it!

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and it felt really nice to be around people who share the same passions for puzzles, board games, and comics without any judgment. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind and enjoy your hobbies.

We ordered a London Fog and a caramel macchiato, and both were delicious. On top of that, the service and hospitality were excellent. Everyone was friendly and made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Okay, so let's start with the decent. The food was actually pretty decent and the vibe/atmosphere was nice, but honestly, the whole night was totally ruined because of this super creepy situation. This taller guy with glasses kept staring at me and my friends the entire time... like, full-on staring, making us feel so uncomfortable and totally creeped out. We ended up asking our server to speak to a manager, hoping someone could talk to him about the inappropriate behavior. To our absolute shock, we were told he was the owner of the restaurant. Nothing was done, and his creepy staring continued. The fact that the person in charge acts like that, and zero was done about it, is just completely appalling. Needless to say, we are absolutely not coming back. Seriously, if you're going, just beware.

This place was recommended to us on Facebook for their Christmas market! Me and my fiancée love DnD, boardgames and TCGs. We’re so surprised we’ve never been here before! Drinks and food were great, service was quick and efficient and the atmosphere is perfect. Looking forward to coming for more events!

This place is great! If you like board games, D&D, LOTR, Star Wars, card games or anything geeky, you will love this place. It's located in an old house with lots of rooms to explore. You can even rent the themed rooms for your party or game group. I'm just so impressed with amount of detail in their decorations and room-to-room atmosphere - creativity everywhere!. There's some great to look at no matter where your eyes fall.

It's also a friendly and inclusive place, suitable for families, friends, gamers, grand parents and yes, Goblins!

Went for my first time on friday with some coworkers. I loved it ! Chill vibes and all the games ever. Also they got a resident axolotto in the basement with the arcade games. 10/10 will be returning.

Man, this place has so much potential. Unfortunately they have one bartender/server on a busy Saturday night is just ridiculous. Also, we have ordered one drink and one shot and the bartender is basically refusing to serve. I can understand being concerned about a drunk person being overserved, but quite honestly, this experience has ruined my birthday night as I wanted to let loose at Goblins and go to the emo night across the street. Unfortunately, the service has completely ruined the mood of the night. Two hours to be served two drinks and then denied more is crazy.

Hire another bartender for a Saturday night - seriously disappointed.

Food was okay and the vibes and board games are nice as always.
Unfortunately for a few mains, aps, and 4 of us playing one game for maybe 20min was nowhere near worth $165. The service was terrible; sat for 10min before WE had to get up and ask them for drinks, which we then also found out the restaurant also couldn't be bothered to renew their liquor license on time which would have been nice to know before sitting down. All in all I truly enjoyed my last time here, but will never come back due to the insane cost to play games, eat mediocre food, and insulting service that liked their phones more than grabbing us something to drink. Just don't, and believe me when I say it takes a lot for me to write reviews like this.

Goblets and Goblins is one of my favourite places in Newmarket. The food is incredible, the staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable about both the food and games available. It’s such a cozy, family friendly place that I always recommend people to go! Plus, in the summer they have a dog friendly patio that my pup and I enjoy. 🫶🏻
